Shay Dow1Items are over priced. They have a Louis Vuitton Neverfull purse there, they are trying to sell the purse for $3,000 when it retails for $3,000 in the store, and they separated the small purse that comes with it when you purchase it from the store as a separate item, also for $1,100! The small purse isn’t sold separately in the LV store. You can’t even buy it separately! Just google your items before you buy them. Make sure they are prices fairly.

John Evans1Update...September 10th 2020. My wife had some jewelry that she didn’t want anymore so we took it there not expecting to get a lot. We went in with her heart necklace with heart earrings and as expected we didn’t get offered a lot. They looked at them real closely and tested them. They offered us 50 for the set of 3. We were ok with not being offered a lot as we knew they weren’t much. We did decline the offer. However we went back with with flower earrings that were double the carat of the heart set. They didn’t test them or look at them and just offered us 25. So we declined and left. We then went to Easy Pawn in San Antonio and he looked at the earrings and tested them and looked real close at them and offered us 120 and we asked for 130 and he agreed and we made a deal. I have used money mart pawn a few times before and never had any issues but for them to not even look at it and test them was ridiculous. We will never use them again. Unfortunately I have had to pawn a few things after having one thing after another happen. Every time I’ve gone in I was greeted and treated very well. I have dealt with 5 different people and all were nice and respectful. I understand how pawn stores work so when I tried to pawn a gun I was offered a price in the range I was expecting. I asked for a little more and they agreed on it and I know that won’t always happen. I was so pleased at how my first couple of experiences were that I have used them a few more times just to get rid of things I don’t use anymore. They have great customer service and are professional. The store is clean and have lots of items and they are willing to answer questions.

Carrie Wosnig5Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Lots of late model choices on musical instruments and electronics. The tool selection is quite good and priced right. The layaway program is the best. 10% down and I can make payments over the phone!

Elijah Smith1New management/owners are complete trash! They are stealing goods people have pawned before the change of "leadership" if you can call it that. Receipt proof of payments aren't being honored as well as outrageous holding fees being applied. Do not go here for anything Boerne!!!

Hunter Billingsley1The worst customer relations I've ever experienced. While most of the staff I've met on my visits have been amiable, I had the distinct displeasure of interacting with a manager who just lost his store a sale today and all of my future business. I'm a musician. The gear I use is important to my business, so I have to make sure that items I'm interested in 1) work, and 2) are something I need or want. I came into the pawn shop today and found an effect pedal for guitar that I wanted to try. After I got some help from a friendly lady staff member, I sat down with a manual and started exploring the pedal. This takes time to do, between learning the basics of the pedal and delving into its deeper functions. I was asked to turn down only once as more customers came into the store, and I politely complied. I wasn't playing with any overdrive/distortion at any point and everything I played was melodic and midtempo to be as unobtrusive as possible. I was in the store for about an hour when what I assume was a manager approached me and asked if I wanted to put the guitar I was playing on layaway. I replied no, that I was actually just interested in the pedal, so he asked if I wanted to put it on layaway, and I said I wasn't ready to make the purchase just yet. He then proceeds to tell me, clearly agitated, that I had been in the store for an hour with it, indicating that I needed to buy the pedal or get out. Dumbfounded, I told him flatly that I'd just leave. On my way out I asked the friendly lady if I had disturbed any of the other customers, to which she said that I hadn't. I told her that her manager didn't seem to want me there, and I left. This is absurd. You can't treat your customers like that, and if you don't want musicians checking out your gear, don't sell musical equipment. I'll take my patronage and my money where they're appreciated. EDIT: In his reply to this review, the store director says that I told him I did not have money to buy anything, which is categorically false. When I told him I wasn't ready to make a purchase, I meant that I had not made my decision on the pedal, but I most certainly had the money to do so. While I don't believe the store director meant any harm in his reply, it's clear that he misread the situation and made some harsh assumptions about me and my finances and has put words I absolutely did not say into my mouth as a result. I can forgive the assumptions, as I'm sure he has plenty of young, dumb and broke kids walk into his store and I'll admit that I probably look like one. However, whether or not it was his intent, the store director's reply makes it appear that I don't have integrity -- that I went into his store, played with his music gear for an hour with no intent of being a real customer, and then left a bad review like a spoiled child cause he ruined my fun. That's not what happened and I have to make that clear. I reached out privately to rectify the error in his reply but got no response, and I didn't even know I could edit my review to set the record straight myself until now. Bret, if you're reading this, I hold no hard feelings and I'm sorry to have put you through the trouble. Best wishes.
Response from the ownerThe greatest asset to our business is our customers. Customer service and the protection of the assets (sales items) is at the top of this list. I apologize if you feel the service wasn’t satisfactory. My name is Bret and I am the Store Director for Money Mart Pawn & Jewelry in Boerne. I am the man that spoke to you yesterday while you were testing the guitar and pedal. Items such as this guitar pedal are equipment that is normally kept under lock and key and require assistance from staff to be used. We are required to check on our customers often while testing any equipment. When I came to check on you and asked, after an hour of playing, if you would like to take the guitar home or put it in layaway, your reply was that you were testing out the pedal and that you didn't have any money to do either. You stated "I'll just leave", and while less than thrilled to hear this response, you certainly have the right not to purchase anything from my shop. Please keep in mind that while we always welcome musicians into our shop we are not set up to facilitate practice/jam sessions or open mic time. We have never had a problem with anyone testing out any equipment. Friendly reminder, when you do get ready to make that purchase we can offer you a warranty on that item and you can take it home and “test” away with the peace of mind we will stand behind our product. If we can start over please come by the store and talk to me and let me make this right.
