      This is a wonderful lender. I like the humanity in the red tape. Sandra is the best. Very kind, responsive. Although they are under staffed and difficult to connect with on the phone, once you do connect with them, it becomes immediately clear that you’re in great hands.

      I went to Mariner Finance asking about a personal loan. After getting through the paperwork, they came up with the idea of taking over my car loan from the company who previously held it and giving me an amount of cash. Unfortunately, through these hard times with COVID I became two payments behind. I talked to a representative that said I could make a 1st of the month payment and a mid month payment and be square. Then today I received a very angry phone call from the female manager of this store demanding I pay by the end of the day or else my car would be repo'd. She yelled a lot, told me to "stop talking and listen." I don't understand why it seemed so personal to her that I felt like, by her reaction, that I personally hurt her in some way. I asked to speak with her supervisor. She said, "Okay but you better answer the phone" and hung up on me. I just don't understand the attitude. If I'd known I'd face this, I'd never get any loan from them and I won't be recommending them in the future.

      I was so happy when Sandra assisted me when I was unable to pay on-time, she helped me refinance and sent money to my bank account to help me in this difficult time of unemployment the past year. Everyone I have worked with their are professional and personable. I feel they really put the client's needs as a top priority.

      I applied online for a loan through this company and was contacted shortly thereafter by a representative at their San Fernando office. After a couple of conversations, I decided to move forward with the process and sent in all of the requested documentation. 2 days later I visited the office after driving almost 90 minutes out of my way. After reaching the office and sitting there another 45 to 50 minutes while they seem to try to get organized, I was finally greeted by the rep and we sat down to finalize the loan. I was very surprised to find that the loan they were now getting processed was 17% higher in interest than I was quoted as well as over $150 more per month and an extra year term. It was a witch. After the rep try to convince me in every way that it was a good deal, I walked. I will never return to this company and I would never recommend them. Totally deceptive.
