Prose Alexander4I honestly have NO IDEA why anyone is complaining. We wrecked our credit during the 2008 crisis to survive. We have to be able to rebuild, and that means taking out installment loans, if you are serious about rebuilding your credit in 2 or 3 years rather than 10 to 15, it is NECESSARY to have an installment loan history. Next addressing these claims of rude or inexperienced people... I am permanently disabled, on SSDI, I get paid a very paltry sum of less than 650/mo after working for 20 YEARS. My wife has a decent full time job, and she is in middle management, made necessary by a for profit scam school owned by C.E.C./Sanford-Brown in a scheme they had with Sallie Mae, and her degree never made her more than $10/hr. THOSE ARE RUDE PEOPLE WHO WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU, AT ALL. Well we moved across the country for better job offer for her. We did not own a vehicle, NYC is way too expensive to park. We have had our loan on an almost new vehicle, for a little over a year now, one we found hiding in the back that only had 300 miles, and is a 2016. Nothing wrong, it was traded in for something bigger less than a month after its first purchase. We were able to get a great deal from a dealership who was in over their heads on used vehicles. MSRP would have been about 21K. All in all we got it for 8K, with finance charges, taxes, and fees, of course bringing that to 14k. $235/mo 5 year loan. Considering the last 4 dealerships couldn't find us anything decent for less than $450/mo. we were thrilled. I have major kidney problems and have about 4 hospitalizations and at least 8 ER visits a year, under Medicare. I still have to pay 20%. When we have gotten behind because of this, ANY TIME WE HAD TO CALL RELIABLE TO ASK FOR MORE TIME THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN RUDE OR SAID NO! In fact many times they have dropped the miniscule $10 late fee. Sometimes I've had to make a double payment because I had to miss a month. They have never once dinged our credit for being late. Having formerly worked in retail prior to being a machinist, I know that it is rare for any customer service agent to start off rudely. It is VERY OFTEN that the people who are talking to THEM feel entitled and superior, and act nasty, to the point of insult, on a person who is trying to help them! If they hit their limit of abuse then they do get rude. I dont blame them. So I call B.S. on anyone complaining. You got what you wanted, buyers remorse is your own fault... You have 14 days to return the purchase normally, and reliable offers 30 days. If you knew you couldnt afford the payment then you shouldn't have taken the loan. You were lucky to get one in the 1st place! One more thing. Compared to interest rates offered by the other medium to high risk lenders to us, reliable was 6 pts. lower than ALL of them. Yeah 23.99% sucks, but it's a whole lot better than 29.99%! Most of your credit cards are higher than 23.99%! By the time we have paid for 3 years our credit will be rehabbed to the point of being able to refinance through a lower risk lender. That is, and should be the AIM YOU ARE SEEKING!

Kevin Daley1Very rude, unprofessional, and inconsiderate. And the several hundred other reviews reflect this. If I'm not the only one who feels this way, then it might be time to look in the mirror and re-evaluate business model and employee training procedures? 🤔 Quite possibly the worst-reviewed credit agency in the Northwest region. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE DISRESPECTFUL GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS.
Response from the ownerHi Kevin - we would like to discuss your experience further. We do our best to treat all of our customers as we would want to be treated and have been taking these reviews to our management team to help improve things. However, I don't see you in our system. If you could provide us your contact information, we would be happy to reach out to discuss your experience. If so, please email [email protected] and I'll have a manager reach out.

Shalayne & Laurel Hornstein1This company should be call untruthful and unreliable credit. My wife called and spoke with a associate last Friday asking if we had a scheduled payment set. The associate lied and said you do not Mrs. Hornstein but if you make a payment and we see that you did have one set up we will cancel that payment. Furthermore they waited till 6pm to charge my bank account for 2 payments, leaving me to have to wait till Monday to get it fixed. Now they won't reverse the payment forcing me to have to dispute the charges with my bank. Verry unprofessional and dishonest. Do not do business with this company there interest rates are the worst out of anywere you can go.

Georgina Hayes2I have used this company over 6 times in the last 10 years and payed off every loan early and consistently get phone calls and letters from this company inquiring about emergency cash to catch up bills or consolidate or for holidays and have never had an emergency need until now. In the past we have dealt with someone wonderful Stephanie Gillis and when i requested that person again was transferred to someone who took my info and was contacted over 2 days later by young man named Travis, it was clear he was newer at this and I have been told our records are kept at this company to be used as a consideration. He questioned about everything and would not take additional info I requested him to take about income. I was applying for a small simple loan to catch up household bills after being laid off month ago, was offering title to our classic car for a short term loan that I could pay off in 3 months (in past i get long term loans). OUTCOME: I receive no call back and days later I have to contact someone else there who informs me that he is surprised that I did not get a call back, that he had turned me down for debt to income being low. First off after such a long relationship I do not understand why we did not deserve a call back or explanation, that is what my chief complaint is and not that they said no;It is now obvious we are not that good of a client that, or they don't like the fact that we pay off our loans in full and early so they are not earning enough interest off of us.

Tony Krause1Granted the organization is primarily set up for 2nd chance lending, so folks that emerged from bankruptcy or overall bad credit, so rates will be higher to start with. Their products are marketed for those in medium to high risk categories whether is is auto loans or unsecured personal loans. I underatand that. I have been a customer for a couple years, had some life issues where I had to choose to pay some creditors and not others, but that has long past, hence why I am a customer here. Where I get upset about RC is their staff. The staff has a general lack of knowledge or experience. Also, they do not understand or know how to deal with errors that they made. For example, I obtained an auto loan, the origional contract at the dealership was to have myself as the ONLY person tiltled and registered on my vehicle. My wife at the time, now ex, was a cosigner ONLY. She didnt have her licence, she hasn't paid a dime toward the car, it was simply a pure cosigner. RC does the title as her as an owner, despite she not signing anything to own the vehicle, only accepting responsibility that she is a cosigner. But yet, she is an owner of the car... Bills paid exclusively by me, early even...come back with divorce paperwork, bill of sale/release of interest, she is long gone...anyhoo, trying to refi with someone else or even trading in because I can get a much much better rate now...cant do anything without her physically here... Trying to work with RC to correct THEIR error in the first place where she should never been on the vehicle ownership, the dealership is trying, but they won't listen ans acknowledge they made an error...it is highly frustrating as I am moving out of state in a month. So I am stuck with something I can't do anything with. The part that tipped me off out of all of this, I went to the office a few weeks ago to meet up with an agent there to evaluate options...there was a young Asian woman, I do not recall her name, aside from the staff that seemed clueless or helpless or unwilling to even talk or discuss or go over any kind of options, this woman was extremely loud, rude, unsympathetic, dealing with this issue was a rather sensitive matter, while I wasn't offended directly, she just was pressing and overbearing. The whole reason for this review, I remember walking into the building and this person was talking to her headset very loudly, then there was an older couple that was at her desk being "assisted" by her, and while I am at the front desk giving my information and explaining my situation (which turned to explaining 4-5 to different people), I can hear her a good 30+ feet away being loud and what sounded fairly rude tone to these two. I didn't think much of it at the time as I was minding my own business as I was dealing with my business...but thinking back, I just am completely turned off from these guys because of this woman alone, the barrage of words and tone just make dealing with them even harder... All the meanwhile I get calls and asked do you want to borrow more money from us, and all I can think of is, I completely regret taking any from you to begin with. I mean I rather have taken money from a loan shark that would collect with their baseball bat and crowbar threatening to take your legs if you don't pay on time, then to have dealt with these folks who are incompetent and inconsiderate and inexperienced... I guess if you are happy with them, great...but those who want an easy process and actually want to be treated like a human go somewhere else...if these guys are the only ones that will loan out to you, just be forewarned that it won't be easy dealing with them.

Cameron Fickenscher1Literally cannot wait to refinance and I've owned my car for two months. Would choose Wells before these guys. This is such a quirky way to get a loan, avoid if you can.
Response from the ownerHi Cameron - I understand you were able to talk to our team about things. We appreciate you taking the time to discuss and share your thoughts with us.

Tim O'Brien5Reliable gives those that have dinged their credit an opportunity to get credit and begin to build their credit rating back as well as be able to buy a car or get a personal credit line where other banks and credit unions wouldn't . They also base their pricing on risk; so the worse your credit is, the more expensive it is to obtain credit; logical. They treat you fairly and good at communicating with their customers.

jarred gallaher1Worst finance company I've ever dealt with. Harassing phone calls after a few days late even though I called in advance. Constant calls to my references. Maximum allowable interest rate. Terrible, terrible customer service reps. When you call you get routed through four different people.

Raul Zaragoza5It isn't their fault we messed up our credit to begin with. For us that need a second chance, they are a god send. Yeah the rates are high, but all of us have a history of not paying our bills. Why else would you be doing business with them. As long as I'm able to drive what i want, I don't mind paying a little extra.

Janna Mendez2Reliable Credit has given me nothing but a difficult time. I lost my job and missed one payment. I called to try and work something out and they immediately repossessed my car. They then tried to charge me all the towing and impound fees. Their customer service and unit managers are very rude, curt, and impatient. They treated me, their customer, like I was not important. DO NOT USE THEM GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!
