  I don't know the exact numbers but. . . 6 7 maybe 8 years ago, ( I'm sorry, the combat ptsd really messes with my memory) I got a 3k 3 year loan...paid it off in about 2 years. Years later.... I got a 6 or 7k loan for 5 years Refinanced in 2 years with my personal bank for half the APR.(almost have it paid) Both using my vehicles as collateral. Now...with a credit score 60 70 points higher than it has ever been. They denied me because I didn't want to use a car title??!!???? Only needed it for a short time. 1/4 of what I have borrowed in the past!!? I just could not did not want to use my daily title for collateral. I feel I have built trust that just wasn't reciprocated. Thanks anyway, I will not use again!

  Hi Mike. Dependent on the type of loan, decisions are made based on a variety of factors including credit history, income, and expenses. Not all loans require collateral, but those that do also take into account the value of that collateral.   I talked to a lady not naming names. she was so nice at first. She's very good and convincing but a lier 💯. We got the loan we had some hiccups so we said we've be an hour late. I called to let her know I was on my way id be their in 10 mins. She said I have another person in 10 mins. We'd have to reschedule. I said ok no problem. She called me 20 mins later. Sorry we can't give you the loan. What happened to that appointment in 10 mins. You had time to make sure you denied my loan though. The attitude was totally different. Very bad bad attitude. Will never go through them everrr. But on a good note I didn't get that loan but I did get the suburban.

  The only reason I am giving more than 1 star is because of the very nice people who work here. As for the business and how they do loans, I'd give less than 1 star. Before taking out a loan, understand what a pre-computed loan is. The catch is that you are paying most of the interest on the front end of the loan and your principal isn't touched until the balance nears what you actually took out. This does not work like other loans, they will get all of their interest money from you unless you pay it off entirely. Making extra payments doesn't save you much if anything at all. I would recommend looking at other loan companies who do not use the rule of 12's as an underhanded way to ensure you don't get ahead on the loan before they've collected the majority of the interest.

  DON'T DO IT! Literally go ANYWHERE else. I wanted a simple $4000 loan to pay off my car, the "manager " made me feel like scum by making me use my car as collateral stating I don't make enough (40k) and that all my credit cards were maxed (I was utilizing $1200 of my $15k open to buy). But I thought whatever, my payment's only $125/ monthly, I'll pay $200 biweekly. Did that for about 2 months and called for a payoff, I've somehow only taken $50 off the principle. They applied the rest to interest I hadn't yet accumulated. How's that work?? I'll be paying it off in cash here soon, then I'll be going to the BBB.

  Knowledgeable and friendly staff,the gentleman that handled my loan was great,easy to talk to, answered all my questions and explained all info contained in loan, This was a straight up personal loan, and on a fixed income with not much credit ,the interest rates were really not as high as I thought they would be,pretty easy transaction, wasn't even there very long and got a loan in 24hrs that helped me out of a bind while relocating, Thanks again to the young man that handled my loan,he has a great future ahead of him,hope his boss reads this,would definitely recommend One Main!

  I wanted to make my payment online but it wouldn't take it.I called my branch to tell them, but they never got back to me and my payment was due that day.They were supposed to be open, but I got a recording, left a message or two and never got a call back.
