Maureen McLaughlin3Denise was very congenial and professional .HOWEVER I was extremely dissatisfied with your IT problems. What should of been a 15 minute appt. took over an hour +! In addition more forms to sign than usual, including Dept of Transportation which makes one leery of contract altogether!

Jose Gutierrez1I am very discerned about my experience today. I had gotten a loan out last year and have automatic payments set up that I have always made. Recently I was hospitalized and out of work for about a month. I immediately contacted Mariner to begin and complete the process for the insurance that had been included in my monthly payments for situations exactly like this. Upon receiving the paperwork I was informed I would have to contact my employer to have them fill out paperwork along with the doctor, all while I was hospitalized. I was advised I he to have all documents in by the end of November for the December payment to be covered. After all paperwork was sent and received before December, the loan payment was still came out. I had called and was told that the paperwork was received illegible and could not be processed and I was told they “tried” to contact me but I had no voicemails from Mariner. Mind you I’m still in the hospital at the time so I am limited to my resources as well as health/energy/stress level. I had to have Mariner resend the blank paperwork and get it all refilled out and sent back. I was upset as I wasn’t working and needed that money. When I spoke to someone about my options to handle this matter and issue with the auto payments coming out I was advised that I could not cancel my automatic payments as I am legally responsible. The associate told me that I could not reimbursed for my December payment when the insurance gets approved but that my next months’ (January) payment would be credited for and not be taken kit of my account. Today the automatic payment came out for January which should not have since they received two payments in December (my auto pay, the insurance payment for being out of work. So I once again called to straighten this out and at this point I was pretty upset as I have had numerous conversations prior to this phone call and most were in the hospital when I should have really been just focusing on getting better. Anyways the Sc woman who answered the phone was not very nice and was blatantly irritated with me and even scolded me at one point telling me not to interrupt her when she was the one who interrupted me. She told me initially the only thing I could do is credit my account for next month and that it’s my fault for not stopping my auto pay. I insists I needed a refund and argued that I was told I couldn’t stop payment. She then put me on hold and told me that she would email a higher up department and they would be the ones to decide if I could get a refund but that I would not get an answer til Monday, as they are in a meeting. “All day “ today. After that call the associate did call me back and says I could get a refund but that I need my bank to send them written proof the payment was posted. I contacted my back and they sent Mariner a copy of my bank statement with the payment out and posted to them but apparently now that is not good enough. Now I’m advised I need my bank to send over a written letter stating the payment was cleared and now it being Friday I’m going to be out the $176 until Monday along with the late fee. There customer service is terrible they are only nice when they want you to borrow from them because there interest rates are so high. This is a horrible unprofessional lender .

M. Samuel1Staff is very unprofessional. They called took all my information for a small personal loan, then never called back or updated my online account with approval or denial. I called hours later asked to speak with the woman who was handling my loan. After being on hold 5 minutes a different person got on and stated I needed a co-signer. They still have not updated my online account with the outcome of my loan request. Follow up is very poor seems they may follow through if they are able to get thousands in interest out of you though.....give it a try. I suggest a different agency I was instantly approved with them for 13 times the loan I requested from here. However, I only took what I needed
