  I've had nothing but good experiences with the blonde and her husband, I've built a good report with them. Ever since they moved to their new location they hired a little Spanish guy and I've had nothing but bad experiences with him. Very condescending... I'm getting all my items out of pawn and will have to find a new pawn shop

  Constantly friendly and always helpful! Whether you want to buy a guitar, an amp, a gun, or anything else, the staff is always knowledgable. I've bought two pistols from them and they've yet to fail on me. Highly recommend

  Best Pawn Shop in Lake City! Great selection of guns, tools, electronics and just about anything else you are looking for. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help - way different from other pawn shops I have been in.

  Brought in some old craftsmen tools, they couldnt help me today but was INCREDIBLY courteous and referred me to someone who could help. Amazing people. Would recommend 100%. Also, awesome display of guitars.

  Of the pawn shops in Lake City, this is my favorite. It's clean. It doesn't have that slimey vibe you get when going into some stores. I've never pawned anything here, on bought stuff. Prices are fair. And they seem to give fair offers to people who bring items in to pawn. This is my go to if I'm looking for something with a deal.

  I had a very bad experience here when trying to pawn my firearm. I brought my rifle that was in a case along with 2 loaded magazines that were in the outside pockets. At first the man told me that they couldn't accept loaded magazines and I told him that was fine and I'd just take the magazines with me. We agreed to a price and they started doing the paperwork when the lady behind the counter put a plastic bag on the counter and told me(not a request)to empty the rounds into the bag. I told her I was just going to take the mags with me and she got an additude with me and said that wouldn't be possible. When asked why, she said "We need a fully functional rifle". Am I supposed to believe they wouldn't have accepted the rifle if I hadn't brought the magazines in in the first place? It sounded to me like she was just trying to squeeze as much merchandise out of the deal as possible(and make me do the work of unloading the mags), which is really crummy considering I was only requesting a minimal pawn amount on a rather expensive weapon. When I told her I wasn't going to empty the mags, the guy literally tosses my ID onto the counter in front of me without saying a word, but I most definitely got the message. I took my business down the road where I could get decent customer service. Won't be back!

  I am sorry you feel like you had a bad experience, but like all businesses we have policies we must follow. There was a shooting in a local pawn shop a few years ago and we take safety seriously, hence the policy of not allowing loaded weapons or magazines in the store. This policy is for the safety of our employees and our customers. We also have a policy of not taking weapons unless they have at least one magazine, which we politely explained. In the event of a default, it is difficult to sell a weapon that does not have a magazine. We are also sorry that you took offense at having your license given back to you. The employee was simply returning it to you and did not mean to offend you. We are a small, family owned business with an excellent history of customer service and we encourage you to stop in and talk to us. Good people can have honest disagreements, but good people can also work out their differences.

  Incredible experience. Rich and Dusty are extremely helpful and friendly. I could talk guns, music and phones to Rich all day long. He really knows his stuff and is a lot of fun to talk too. You'll find a good deal here.

  Friendly faces, smiles and greetings as soon as I walked in. Empire Gold & Pawn offered me fair prices for my pawn and are very knowledgeable on the items they are selling. I would recommend this pawn shop over any in Lake City. In my past I had used "5 Points Pawn" and it was horrible a horrible experience every time I walked in. It's nice to see a fresh face in town with this new pawn shop and I plan on only using them for all my future pawn needs.

  Iv never even been here but i will but i called about there guitar amps and the guy was very nice and he was quick and i didn't even have to ask what brand it was he told me everything i need to know i just wish the hold music wasn't turn it down for what
