  The employees were nice and fast during closing but we were only notified a week before closing that we needed a new survey which then delayed closing causing a myriad of issues rescheduling movers and making trips back to galveston that wouldnt have needed to happen.

  Do not under any circumstances ever ever ever use these people for anything. The long period of time my family waited for these people to solve a property line dispute caused by them was the worst time of our lives.We are in our eighties.One point in time during our wait for their mistake to be solved Central title asked if we would help them financially to help correct Central titles mistake. If you need a title policy you will be better of without one than to go through the misery dealing with CENTRAL TITLE . Don't do it.

  We strive to meet the needs of all of our customers in their desired time frame, yet sometimes extenuating circumstances regarding the title, are found in the title search that must be taken care of before we can issue a title policy to a buyer. We always do our best to help the parties resolve any title problems found upon a review of the title. Central Title Company does not request any funds be placed with us before we address curative matters.

  So far it hasn't been a pleasant one.. They forgot to do a lien search on the property, and some other paperwork that has pushed the March 8 move in date to who knows when. Staff very friendly, but they don't listen, don't follow through. My suggestion is , although Central is one of the largest Title companies, go with a smaller one that is happy to gt your work. Apparently, larger ones just are "TOO BUSY" to listen and follow through .

  Ms. Layne, we at Central Title are very sorry for your frustration, but please let me clarify what has happened. When the order was received, it was understood that the property was in a recorded subdivision. This results in a fairly simple title search, so the closing date of March 8 was at that time reasonable. However, after doing the initial research, it became apparent that it was not in a recorded subdivision. This immediately triggered a much more extensive title search which takes more time. The expanded search turned up an estate issue which had not been resolved and needed curative work. That necessitated obtaining additional documentation from outside sources, including a corrected Affidavit of Heirship and a certification from the Medicare office which takes a minimum of five days. Both of these were entirely out of our control. I know it was disappointing to have to postpone your closing, but had Central Title not been diligent and thorough, you would not have clear title to your property. We very much appreciate our clients’ business, and make every effort to see that orders are taken care of in both a professional and timely manner.

  Most unfriendly And unprofessional people I’ve ever worked with they refused to speak to me or my lender directly. Trying to get answers, documents, return phone calls or emails was like pulling teeth. There has to be other title companies in the area, so stay away from this one.
