With Chase for example, if the account goes into the negative, I have until 11PM that day to bring the account back up into the positive before they charge me the No Sufficient Fees. What your bank is doing is gross. If I get direct deposit today let’s say at 4AM it clears, but an automatic payment comes in at 3AM or 12AM, you proceed to charge that fee. It’s just a few hours difference within the same day. I cannot control at what time I get deposited and at what time another business decides to withdraw; the point should be that IF during the same day I make the funds available, that same day, then why are you charging me. Why don’t you decline the transaction then? If the funds aren’t there, and you won’t proceed to pay the item, then decline it! Instead of declining the transaction, you prefer to let it hit the account just to charge that fee and it’s really gross. I’m switching my direct to a different credit Union that doesn’t do this mess or back to Chase it is because honestly it’s disgusting."
