  The only issue I had was with the wire transfer instructions. The bank I was refinancing through emailed the wire transfer instructions. Vanguard also emailed me telling me that they would never send wire transfer instructions through email because of wire fraud. They would only send me the information using CertifID. When I initially called Vanguard about this they told me that I can use what the bank had emailed me and that the CertifID is something they just send out to everybody. Interestingly enough though, as soon as I got off the phone I got a text message to use CertifID and a call back from Vanguard to use the CertifID. I think they realized that the advice the gave me was not good. Regardless of this miscommunication on what and what not to use, Vanguard should be making sure that the banks they work with are also using the same process or tell the bank not to be giving out the instructions to the clients themselves. CertifID process was ok, but it was also a vehicle to push wire fraud insurance protection. I seriously thought about the protection but when I tried to review the terms and conditions, the page didn’t exist. Maybe there is something better than CertifID that can be used.

  This was our fourth time doing home mortgage, but our first time doing a major remodel/ addition/ construction loan with our new mortgage. Everyone here was friendly and professional, doing a great job explaining just enough to make us feel more educated and comfortable - while not being overwhelming with information overload! We felt right at home and at ease with the whole process!

  My closing process was very smooth and pleasant. Even though I arrived 15 minutes early, my closer Alma was willing to proceed and answered all my questions. The office is very clean and everyone greats you with a smile.
