He specializes in California, and despite not being able to facilitate a loan for a particular state I was looking in, he offered to speak with me and provide free advice.   Don Maher is awesome! We just closed escrow on our dream home and Don, from Universal Capital Mortgage, made it all possible. I had a very laborious file due to self-employment and Don did a fantastic job. He was quick to respond, on top of details, and always gave superb customer service.   Greatly appreciate Don's help on recent purchase of a Condo. He saved the deal! We figured it out that the Condo we're purchasing has HOA litigation issue, the original lender can't make it. We were almost thinking to back out from that deal. Finally we find Don and were able to get the loan. The loan processing was also smooth and very fast (20 days). Definitely 5 star and no doubt will recommend him to any of our friends for the loan processing.

  Don Maher should be the first mortgage broker that you contact when you need a mortgage loan. He responds very quickly and helps to make your lending situation work! We have used him twice now and both loans were very easy and seamless. He is proficient and knowledgeable and trustworthy!!

  Don Maher was amazing. He was recommended to me by my realtor when I found out that the condo I wanted to purchase was in litigation. He really knows this field -- the first time we spoke he immediately (literally) looked up what was going on with my condo association and explained the situation. He then emailed me my options. He was very straightforward and clear about the rates and costs from the beginning. The application process was easy and fast and in no time at all I was approved. Don also got things done quickly at the end, I was waiting for another property to close and the timeline got tight but he was able to move quickly and close. I felt like I was in competent hands the whole time. Highly recommended.

  Excellent professional service provided by Don and his team. I contacted Don after other brokers fail to meet the loan requirements due to their lack of knowledge on non warrantable loan for a condominium. Don assured me that he can close escrow within the very limited time we had and he surely did. We were very pleased with his service, knowledge and experience. I highly recommend him for mortgage financial needs.

  Don was quick to respond to my inquire and was able to help us fund a condo other lenders refused because of a pre-existing condo litigation. He was able to get us a great rate too, considering the condo's difficulty in getting approved. His assistant Jamie was very helpful keeping me updated on status and answering our concerns.
