Denise is amazing. She made our recent closing the best one I've ever experienced. She was quick, extremely efficient, explained everything very clearly, and was willing to answer questions. She explained the pitfalls to watch for (the junk mail regarding deeds and insurance that flood your mailbox after you buy a home) and while effectively keeping to the time table, never made us feel rushed. Truly the best closing I've ever been a part of (out of 8).

My realtor recommended this place. She said Denise was awesome to work with and she was right.

I just closed on the sale of my house with Stewart Title and it truly was the best experience. Ramona did our closing and her level of professionalism was beyond amazing. She had everything ready for us early in the morning and explained it all in detail. She knew how stressed we had been to get through this whole process and made it so easy for us. She kept me informed by phone or email through the whole process. I used Stewart when I bought my house 16 years ago and wanted to use them again when I sold. I will never use another Title company. I highly recommend them!!

Did not have a good experience overall with Stewart Title. I will say that it was not all bad but overall very disappointing. Denise was awesome, made things happen when it got to her level. We were initially assigned a closer, thankfully Denise became involved in the process. We were emailed docs by the closer with no explanation of what was needed. She gave no explanation of the docs and was never available when I called. 7 days after closing, I had recieved no docs or check. When I called and asked her about the check and final statement, she responded with a surprising answer. She didn't know when the check would arrive, she wasn't sure when it went out. Surprising it is untracked for the amount sent by mail. She was also surprised when I asked for the final statement and amount. She said they do not send any other paperwork. That's amazing since the closing paperwork is estimates until all the costs and figures come back. Thank you Denise but please look into the processes and staff who are the face of your company. Update The title company mailed the check to the sold residence and my paperwork to me at my home. Unbelievable how incompetent a company in this line of work is with other peoples money. All my personal information, mailing info and contact information was requested at closing. I strongly urge you seek alternative companies when selling your home.

Not super pleased with the way they handled my money from the sale of my home. They sent the payoff check in the mail untracked, and it got lost in the mail during the holiday weekend. Then they used the routing number off my checking deposit slip to deposit the money into my account. It turned out to be my bank's internal routing number and not the correct routing number. So with the holiday weekend, I didn't get my cash for 5 days. Then, they told me there would be no charge for a wire transfer (as opposed to a cashier's check) to receive my funds from the sale into my checking account. It turns out my bank charged a substantial fee, as apparently, most banks do. Had I known, I would have opted for a cashier's check. I would have expected a title company to know about these fine banking details with the routine closing of a property. To their credit, they told me they would put a stop payment on the check and wire the money to my bank, covering all interest and fees. They are also supposedly refunding me the wire fee my bank charged via check by mail. But it is aggravating and nail biting to have to babysit these things. I expect a closing company to be very aware of the details and do their own follow-up. On the plus side, they were very pleasant to work with and very conciliatory with service recovery.

I closed with this Stuart Title office on an investment property. As I was out of town at the time of the closing, I closed remotely through a POA. Three weeks later I still had not received any closing paperwork. I called once, was told the closing agent would be contacted and get back to me. I heard nothing back. I finally called for the manager, who said she would have a package mailed out tomorrow. No apology, no explanation.

From my experience Stewart's closing services and title insurance premiums are very expensive in comparison to other title companies. I would advise anyone considering using Stewart Title to shop around and get quotes for closing service fees and title insurance.
