After I discovered fraud on my account, I called and had the misfortune of talking to an extremely rude girl there. She refused to get me her supervisor, and then hung up on me after saying "nope, I'm going home." Incredibly unprofessional and I will be closing all my accounts with this institution tomorrow. You just lost our business because of your horrendous representative.

      Response from the owner

Hello Rebecca, we understand a credit union supervisor reached out to you directly regarding the concerns you have written here. We are happy that we were able to help.

I am a member with this credit union and I am very pleased. They are always so friendly, polite, and very professional. They have helped me with all questions and banking needs. I've only ever had 1 issue where their ATM shorted me on another bank account, but even though they have policies to follow to balance and verify funds, it was corrected in the allowed time and returned to my account as informed at the time I notified my shortage. I appreciate all the bankers and tellers within this branch.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience Stacey! We so happy to hear that we have been able to help you.

This CU is wonderful. I've always had nothing but a great experience with them and would recommend them, especially if you're a state employee. My only issue is that they do not have Zelle natively in their mobile banking and website. Please PLEASE get Zelle, then I would use you as my primary banking institution and give you a fifth star!

Went in on 7/23 to try to get an auto loan with my cosigner. The staff member called me up and tried to take our social security numbers in the lobby of the building. I felt uncomfortable and caught off guard being asked our private information in the lobby. My cosigner and I went home and completed the application online. The next day I get an email stating that I have been denied and I have to call in to ask why. I call in and Rod at first can't find our application by our social security numbers or application number. He then talks to "funding" who lets him know that we are Texas residents and submitted Texas IDs with our application. We did not provide them with copies of our IDs or submit our ID number. We also provided them with our Pueblo Colorado address, we have been living and working here for months. Maybe I am wrong, but I believe she quickly looked at the application and saw we had a previous address in Texas and quickly declined us. I believe if there was any questions about the application she should have called us and confirmed our address. PLUS it "dinged" my credit score for them to run my credit. Rod's only suggestion was that i resubmit the application, which would further ding my credit. He didn't give me opportunity to talk to "funding" or a manager to figure out what was happening. Overall, 2 stars because Rod and the lady in the lobby were nice but I had a terrible experience and felt like they gave me "the run around".

      Response from the owner

Absolute liars! No better than any other bank is. Holds on payroll checks with no warning for 7 days! They also make you get a savings account even if you just need checking. Honesty, Integrity, and customer service are dead here.

      Response from the owner

I am not a member, but the surviving relative of a member who has recently passed. This credit union, Pueblo branch specifically, has been rude and cold in trying to help my family in an already difficult time. They refuse to help us, even by pointing us in the right direction. Their slogan when you call is "We are here to help." Nothing has been further from the truth.

      Response from the owner

Hi Larissa, we want to extend our sincere sympathies to you and your family. We are sorry for your loss. We’ve looked into the circumstances surrounding your recent interactions with our staff members at our Pueblo branch and our corporate office and want to assure you that we are here to help you. We understand our staff has given you the information that is necessary to proceed with your desired outcome. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or if we can explain anything further.

Do I need to be a member or employee of any organization to be able to join this credit union? I currently live in Washington State and use Red Canoe Credit Union; however, I'm looking to re-locate to Pueblo, CO and am shopping for a comparable credit union. Thank you.

      Response from the owner

Hi Denine, thank you for reaching out to us. Our field of membership extends to many state agencies, associations, and educational organizations. Anyone who resides in the State of Colorado or any business that has their principal place of business located in Colorado can become a member of the Credit Union of Colorado Foundation thus making him/her eligible to become a member of the Credit Union of Colorado. Please don't hesitate to give us a call, email, or chat with us to discuss the details. We'd be happy to talk to you more. https://www.cuofco.org/contact-us
