  Worst bank ever been with them for over a year they always send you to customer service wait 1 to 2 hrs wait just to be told to go to your Branch to get the problem fixed ridiculous Checks from same Synovus bank still take three days to process we should be told before depositing that it will take a couple of days to be cleared even though still same Synovus bank check but of course they’ll tell you when it’s already been deposit into the next day when you are calling for your money I recommend going to CHASE BANK I’ve been told checks cleared next day even if it’s personal check or same bank

  Banking at this branch for 25 years for business and personal accounts. Outstanding service and very dependable and friendly staff. Plenty of parking and great hours 6 days a week. Peggy McClure is exceptional in her banking knowledge and her personal touch with all services. Managers and tellers are always friendly and provide excellent service.

  I don’t see how this place could even be considered a bank. They have the shadiest service, and it’s such a hassle to cash a check or write a check. Will be going somewhere else, and if I were you I would consider banking somewhere else.

  I appreciate that this Eastside location is open on Saturdays. It’s so difficult to do banking business during the week. Good amount of parking and is well lit. Peggy is super duper sweet, so it’s always a joy to work with her.

  I’ve been banking with Athens First then Synovus for 14 years now. Everyone at the Barnett Shoals location are fantastic and I highly recommend them! They’ve helped me with anything and everything I’ve needed. Great bank and great people! Sean.

  I have never had a problem with this bank until today, December 7th. I came to try to cash my check as I normally do every Friday and I got rejected today! The lady at the drive thru told me I could only put money into my account but since I didn’t have any I would it would be put in and taken out so I would be negitive all of what I put in. Which has never happened to me because it was never a problem. So I went inside and they said the same thing, yet they had an attitude and told me the person at the window who has been previously cashing my check was breaking the rules and doing so. I personally do not keep money on my debit card due to being hit with fraud 15 times in one week. When I opened the account I explained to them that and they said it was okay they understand and that I didn’t have to keep money on the account all the time which I do use it sometimes but anyway, this bank is ridiculous if I have an account I should be able to cash my checks i shouldn’t be only allowed to make deposits and be told my money would be taken from me

  Peggy McClure and the rest of their staff couldn't be more helpful or professional. They always greet me by name too. I highly recommend this bank and this branch especially !

  Great customer service. Please note, hours posted online are not correct, Gaines School location closes at noon on Saturday, not 1 pm.
