  It's never a good day when you have to go to the branch but today was worse than usual. I actually allowed myself to be driven into a rage by the usual patent disrespect and rudeness that is SLCU. I deposited over 8K last week and they rufuse to let me have it. I just want to know why. Some smarmy teller lied to me and told me it hadn't cleared. I've checked w/the author of the check and it cleared last Friday. When I asked the branch mananger he sneered "you cant have it" and turned away and ,once again, lied to my face about the check not clearing. That's your SLCU. As per our texts yesterday I'm assuming my invitation to converse personally was not received well. This leads me to think that you actually called the branch and found out everything I said was true because all my money, previously described as " absolutely out of my reach", just showed up in my account. Coincidence? You want to play lifeguard to your manager, fine, just remember they have the potential to pull you under w/them.

  The best Southland Credit Union bank i had been so far. Nice waterfall like design greets you when you enter this branch. There is a nice waiting area for you to sit down in case you need to wait for your banker. The tellers can somewhat be so impersonal or lack customer service. Parking entrance is on Arizona Avenue. This is accessible by public transportation.

  Lack of 24 hour or weekend support number is a huge fail. They freeze my card on the regular and then take off for the weekend leaving me helpless until Monday. This is the third time. They never answer my messages either. If it wasn't for this score would be much higher. This is not an issue with the branch itself. They are very helpful. But this needs to be fixed.

  If you want to have a good experience at this bank, here one thing you can do -- STAY AWAY FROM THE CALL CENTER AND THE MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE THAT HANDLE THE CALLS, THEY CAN BE VERY ANNOYING AND GIVE YOU BAD INFORMATION. If you have any problems, don't solve it over the phone, solve it by coming to the branch and having Charlotte or the other assistant manager help you, or you can address it to Julio who is the Branch manager because he is an all around good day that will go out of his way to help you. The only thing is everyone at this branch needs to update their email, especially Mr. Julio himself LOL, this way a lot can get done through them via the internet.
