Protected Email1I’ve been with this bank since 2017 and paid off a loan with them before with no issues all till recently and I’ve used them for direct deposit checking account. I had a new loan with SCU at the beginning of covid last year. I was making regular payments. Lately Scu bank took my loan payment then told me later it was for late fees then I paid another payment, my account was then locked, I couldn’t check my balance.I Called customer service, Raul at customer service, told me they didn’t receive a payment. Then my account was closed my account told me I was over the 120 days and that my credit would be affected not willing to work with me. Like as if sI was forced out of the bank.

Rodney Baladad3I have been with Seattle Credit Union since I was a kid, and I have never experienced such bad banking experiences until these last few months. Although it's still pandemic, it's the only bank that I bank with where you can only bank through drive thru (Georgetown) to this day. All other places, I can go in person, with all the safety measures, to get service. The drive thru line is extremely slow, and takes 40 min to an hour or more to even reach the window. On my most recent experience, when I went to withdraw money from the drive thru, the bank shorted me $30, and when I called bank, they said that they were not short on their till and essentially called me a liar. I have never been so frustrated and upset. I've never been called a liar, and for a credit union that I have been with for four decades, I am extremely disappointed and frankly insulted to be called this. I don't recommend banking with Seattle Credit Union at all. UPDATE 5/5/21: A customer service rep called and was extremely helpful, understanding, and actually listened. Raising rating from 1 star to 3 to reflect customer service rep, but keeping it at 3 because of my overall experience at the branch.

Al5I have been a customer of Seattle Credit Union for several years and I have been pleased over and over again and with incredibly attentive service, excellent banking policies, and most importantly the refreshing feeling of being treated like a human being. Everything about my experiences with Seattle Credit Union so far have the undertone of cooperation. They want to provide services that benefit both of us, not just them. Never once have I seen the crocodile smile that is so common from your average corporate bank employee. In particular Shayla B at the downtown branch has been great to work with on several occasions.

Helen Ell Tran2I like the service and employees but the wait is horrible. It is lunch time and there is 3 people including me waiting for service. There are 2 employees servicing people at their desks but 3 people were waiting in line for the counter and we were told to keep waiting. It was over 15 minutes and we were still waiting. It is lunch time so they should have schedule more employees to work the counter at that time. I ended up using the ATM machine to do my deposit and transfer. Priority should be their members and to service all in a timely manner. I feel like it has been getting slower whenever I visit and I might have to consider another credit union with faster customer service. I feel like a lot of people have jobs and they value their time including me. I definitely don't want to drive 15 min to the credit union and kept waiting until my lunch is over and still no service.

Dick Mueller1Thanks 2 the reviews I'm not going anywhere near there . sounds like they treat the "shared" banking accounts as if they were outsiders and shared account holders don't need to be treated well, as we are not their clients, not their problem , so screw em right. " unfortunately, that does not surprise me . it's a bank of America in the inside but a credit union on the outside . Why R so many banks and or credit unions so bad these days . idk, I've always thought out of greediness they would treat people better cause ultimately they want you to store your $ there . this is now becoming a rant sorry but had to do this because I was online searching for a credit union based in seattle first link I saw was this then looked at all the other scu branches and they are identical same bad customer service , dirty , etc.. Etc..

Joseph Hall5I go to the branches when they're not busy. No complaints yet. Meanwhile the online stuff seems to work fine. I deliberately bank at rinky dink credit unions, so if you are complaining that they don't do big bank things, well, I personally think that's a feature.

Mark Miller2They do try but have generally seemed slow and lazy in the past. Maybe now they are better. I have had some serious trouble with them that could have cost huge amounts of money, but luckily I was able to catch the problems in time. I have felt that other credit unions were more professional, WSECU and Salal.

M Wise-Kaawa1Shared branching customer service is awful. They dont have access to look anything up. The woman who helped me handled my paperwork like I was diseased (between her thumb and index finger like contagious) and I am a professional business woman in the area. Avoid if at all possible.

Jennifer Woo-Washington1This location is a joke! They can't keep a good staff for whatever reason. I've been banking with SCU for my whole life and have never had such poor experiences as I have the past few months.
