      Fave church in RVA hands down. Great homilies, they have an awesome RCIA program that i went thru and I really appreciate all the volunteers who work with the public education kids in Religious Ed. They are fantastic!!!

      The church is absolutely stunning and would be a great place of worship, perfect for reflection and prayer.The mass was different from other churches I've been to in the sense of how everything was done at a much slower, relaxed pace.

      We love St. Benedict's! There is a large age range and many families with little ones, a beautiful liturgy (with a worship aid in case you're not familiar with the prayers.. some are in Latin but most in English, and this is the "new Mass" not the pre-Vatican 2 Latin Mass), a wonderful priest and deacon, active parishioners, study groups, Eucharistic Adoraration, pro-life and food pantry outreach, etc. The school is excellent and they now have a monthly homeschool group at the parish, too. All are welcome at this sincere Catholic parish! Also, the Oktoberfest is a ton of fun!

      The St. Benedict Octoberfest is outstanding. They have many vendors, a good food selection and more than 50 beers to choose from including real octoberfest beer from Germany. Musicians play authentic sounding songs for a German octoberfest and there was even a stein holding contest. Really large crowd so I recommend getting their early. The beer lines get long for a full glass but they also offer a small taster size so you can sample a wide variety of beers and cider with a separate line. We try to go every year.
