  Rob not only is the best in the business (5 Stars doesn't do him justice even though it's the highest rating available) but he cares about each individual as a person. I've seen him with clients and he really does care about each and every one having peace of mind and not stress. I have been fortunate enough to have Rob's expertise and experience in my corner for my business and personal returns for several years. We became friends from the start and that continues to grow stronger each year. Rob has always made his decisions based on his clients needs. He transitioned seamlessly into his own Business and office when leaving Paramount Tax to spend more time on delivering quality service for his clients.   Every year I would take the no hassle way to do my taxes and would visit H&R Block. Last time I had them do my taxes I was completely dissatisfied which led me to do my own taxes the following year. I had this feeling deep down by not finding the right tax professional that I was leaving so much on the table because I simply knew nothing about taxes whatsoever and with other companies they would never take any time to get to know your particular situation to help get you the most out of tax time. This all led me on my search where I was blessed to find Rob McConnell. He wasn’t an easy find but after doing some research I was able to get in touch with him. During our initial phone conversation you could clearly tell that he is 100% vested into his profession. We discussed in detail what I had going on in the past year that would effect my taxes and we set a time to meet to really dig deep. Rob is incredibly knowledgeable and loves teaching and sharing all of his knowledge that he builds upon constantly. If you don’t understand anything at all he breaks it down in a way that you will have a clear understanding no matter how long it takes. His patience is invaluable. Tax laws are ever changing especially this past year and when he comes across a topic that he doesn’t know much about, without hesitation he embarks on the journey of doing his due diligence to educate himself and he will relay back to you all that he finds. I was able to get the highest return with Rob’s assistance and he even took the time out to tell me that laws just recently changed again and I may need to do and amendment to increase me return. No other company has ever cared as much as he does. He truly cares about you and your situation. He is hands down my go to from now on until he’s no longer doing taxes.

  I could not be more pleased with the outstanding service I got from Rob when filing my 2020 taxes. 2020 was a mess for me financially so I knew I needed to call in a professional to help me navigate these waters. Rob responded quickly to my initial call. As I shared my story with him, he asked thoughtful questions like he was already forming a game plan in mind as to how to help me. We met in person a few days later to go through all the forms and Rob made sure that I was getting all allowable deductions to help minimize my tax bill. Throughout the entire process, he was really great to work with. His knowledge, experience and personal demeanor really helped ease the tremendous amount of stress I was feeling. There is no way I could have done what he did if I had kept using TurboTax, that's for sure! I highly recommend him if you are looking for a CPA.

  We have been using Rob as our accountant and tax preparer for the last 20 years. He is well versed on all of the current tax laws and has helped out over the years with questions ranging from our income situation when my husband retired to advice on our tax situation.   I recently applied for an SBA loan that was declined due to partnership and classification errors made by my previous tax firm, which included the last 3 years of my filed business and personal returns. I was desperate to find an experienced CPA that was willing to squeeze me in before the October 15th filing date. I had contacted 5 CPA's prior to speaking with Rob, and nome of them could do anything until after the 15th, which wasn't an option for me. Rob met me the following morning, and had amended returns prepared and in my hands 2 days later. I'm moving my all my accounting and tax work over to him, as well as recommending him to friends and associates.

  Rob McConnell. This guy! The Christmas Star of Accounting. An accounting Wizard but always within the constraints of his Trade and tax law. Rob is focused, thorough, imaginative, clear, concise - and super tax-sensitive, particularly regarding California State tax law. He has a positive, can-do attitude and a personality! He speaks English, not Accounting. If he doesn’t know the answer, he’ll find it or refer you. He’s not a lawyer and has sense enough to say so. He does Accounting! He will explain until you understand. You MUST understand or he will come at it again, until you do. You understand and approve or he doesn’t proceed. If you are self-employed, manage Trusts or have other complicated tax issues, Rob is your man!
