  I must say I’m kind of shocked and surprised at the negative reviews. I’m also a little skeptical of some as well… we’ve banked with primesource for about six years now. They handle all our financial needs. We have had a HELOC through them, multiple auto loans, an RV loan, side by side loans, personal loans, etc. and have had nothing but fantastic service with them. We primarily bank at the north branch but have done business at the valley branch as well and have never been met with or seen anything but polite and upbeat courteous employees. I’d recommend them to anyone hands down.

  After years with PrimeSource CU I will be switching banks. I want to say first that the staff has always been pleasant and helpful and this has never been an issue. The main reason I will be banking elsewhere is that recently my debit card was declined for some reason (there was money in my account) and I could not get ahold of anyone on Saturday or Sunday. I had to wait 48 hours to call the branch when they opened Monday morning because they have no after hours number to help with these issues. Not only is it embarrassing to have your card declined, I have bills and purchases to make on weekends, as I'm sure many people would. Another issue I had with PrimeSource is the first time car buyer loan program. I tried to get an auto loan years ago and as someone with a 700+ credit score, I expected to get a reasonable rate. However, because I had only ever paid cash for my vehicles and had no history of an auto loan, the lowest rate I could get was something like 12%. I had been a home owner and paying my own bills without late payments for almost a decade. I ended up getting a loan through Navy Federal for 2.5% after that. Overdraft fees are also high and they charge you for the first offense. The website and app are glitchy and out of date compared to other institutions. I know this is a small bank, but I need something more accommodating to my needs and I think other people should be aware of these issues when looking for a bank or credit union.

  PrimeSource credit is amazing!!!! I have been with them for a long time. Whenever I need a loan or help with something. The girls are always there to help and they do it fast…. Keep up the great work ladies!!!! And Thank you.

  Courtney Bolton at Prime Source Credit Union made our auto loan process smooth & easy. She was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and efficiently handled the financing process, explaining everything along the way. She even gave our daughter a piggy-bank from her shelf, that our daughter liked. Great experience, start to finish! Excellent customer service! Definitely recommend!

  If I could, I would give zero stars. I am on an account with a family member of mine. She had a loan to pay and I set up payment plan with them to pay it back. That didn't happen and they took out the full amount. Then I had to order a new card. In the bank notes, it states for Prime Source to call me so I can pick it up since I live only ten minutes away. Nope, they just decided to mail the card. They either don't care or don't pay attention. If you're looking for a bank, go to STCU. So much better service than this.

  Chatting at the Northside PrimeSource location recently with teller Courtney, I mentioned a recent milestone reached in my marriage. Not only did she make mental note of it, she helped us celebrate by sending a gift certificate to our home courtesy of PrimeSource. It was an unnecessary gesture, but one that demonstrated to us again a desire on the part of this credit union to show an appreciation for our customer loyalty. We have done our business here for approximately 30 years. They have consistently delivered excellent and personal service in that time. Makes one feel appreciated. Thank you Courtney, Janelle, Angie and many others that have worked with us over the years.

  Trying to pay off our vehicle loan with this credit union and because their app is garbage and won't let me log in(even tho my login info is saved!) I tried calling the branch just to get a payoff for our loan (which I'm not on because it's my husband's account prior to us marrying) and they can't even tell me what the balance is so I can send them the entire amount to be done with them. I am now seeing the previous reviews and I wish we would of seen those before we opened an account with them....

  This bank is not worthy or deserve handling your money. Terrible customer service and very stingy for a credit union. They are worse than Wells Fargo. If you want a loan forget it unless you're A+ credit and have thousands in their bank and even then they run you through the ringer. They are not a friendly local bank like you would think or their commercials say. Thats a farse. Its the bottom line for this bank not customer service and working with individuals needs on a case by case basis. They don't care about your situation or how much money you make or how long you been a customer. Save tourself the aggravation and go to a friendly credit union that cares about its patrons and your hard earned money.

  Very unhappy with the handling of my accounts, I opened a line of credit and NEVER used it over the last 10 months, After calling and finding out why I was receiving late fees on an account I never used and talking to the 4th person who was managing my accounts because they were no longer with the company I decided to close my line of credit, savings, and checking accounts and go back to Numerica. Some times the small local Credit Union is not the best choice. Pass on this one if you can.

  They let me do my car loan through them which was great however, if you call and pay by phone, there's a $10 fee! I wasnt made aware of this fee until after the payment had posted! So yeah just be careful with making payments by phone because there is a fee!

Most financial institutions have some type of convenience fee for payments made via phone or online, however staff is trained to disclose those beforehand.
