      I recently opened a PSB savings and checking account via their website. I chose this bank based on favorable reviews. I initially was able to transfer money online as well. After receiving an ATM card and checkbook in the mail, I visited the local branch to deposit a check into my new savings account. I used the ATM. I kept getting an error message and the check kept getting returned. It was a few minutes before the branch was closing and I didn't want to go in and detain anyone past closing time. I was about to give up when a kind woman approached me and asked if I was having trouble. She told me she worked in the bank and figured out that my ATM card was only linked to my checking account and not my savings. She suggested I try depositing into checking. I told her that I'd already endorsed the check with the savings account number. She said not to worry about it as she was heading inside and would make sure the deposit went through. She also suggested I return to the branch at my convenience and get the card linked to the second account. I did return a week or two later and the lady who helped me said, "Oh I remember you". Turns out Jenn D. was the same person who went out of her way just before closing time to help me at the ATM. She could've easily ignored me and ended her day a little earlier. But she didn't, and that's what motivated me to write this review. I'm very glad I choose PSB.

      My wife and I have been loyal customers of Piscataqua Savings Bank for over 30 years and we've always had positive experiences at the bank. Everyone has consistently been friendly and respectful. The tellers are always helpful and they are not afraid to tell me that I can't add, when the situation presents itself. Many years ago, we found ourselves in a difficult house buying experience and we thought we were about to lose our dream house, because of bad timing and a temporary lack of funds. I fretted for an entire weekend, but when I showed up on Monday morning, everyone assured us that this would not happen on their watch. We were eternally grateful to have a local bank as partners in this venture. We were elated and knew we were protected from the many problems associated with getting a mortgage. I can't say enough positives about Piscataqua Savings!

      Piscataqua Savings Bank is everything you remember or everything you would envision a bank to be. Everyone is polite, professional, and they know your name. You are not a number here. The bank has every product you need, but nobody is trying to sell you. You are greeted by every employee with a smile and hello. Everyone is always available to help and give you advice. It's banking the way it used to be and should still be today.
