  Worst experience of our lives! Very negligent, incompetent, unprofessional and uncompassionate lending company. Especially, the person in charge, Heath. After one entire year of emails and conversations, they finally gave us the pre-approval letter. We are a military family and we were living out of the state. So, we travel couple of times to Houston to pick the “house of our dreams”. They made us go through escrow for almost 40 days, YES, 40 days. We had everything ready, changed schools for the kids, said bye to friends, a house full of boxes, moving company scheduled, etc. 2 days before “closing” they told us “ Your loan is not approved because your job is not from here”??? What a vogue explanation. One of the worst days of my life! We flu to Houston immediately after the news to found out he was on vacations. We also found out, this person ( who only cares about high-network clients) placed our VA loan on the hands of a young apprentice the whole time. We lost a lot of money on trips, the deposit money, the escrow money, inspection, HOA, and we almost lost the earnest money. However after 2 months fighting for that, we got it Back. I’m amazed by the great reviews this individual has, because with us, he was mean and arrogant. I was going to take legal action. However, people like that will always find an excuse for their negligence and incompetence. Their pride don’t let them see their errors. The entire process was a headache and the communication was terrible with his whole team. I don’t wish this to anyone!

  We recently purchased our first home and are more than happy we chose Peoples Home Equity. Michael Fuda was beyond awesome to work with. He was very accurate with numbers, was constantly available to us (even after hours), and for a first time home owner he was more than willing to explain everything very thoroughly. He definitely exudes the definition of world class customer service. Bottom line, I'll just say this: If I ever have a son I'm pretty sure I'll name him Michael Fuda....yea...that good

  Our experience overall was amazing with Christopher Fountain. He was very detail, got straight to the point and professional. Being a first time buyer was the most excruciating process but he made me feel very confident with the whole entire process. Kept following up with me from day to day on a weekly basis. I honestly give him 10 stars as 5 stars is nothing compared to all the work he did for me. If you are looking in buying a new house then you have made the right choice by picking Christopher Fountain from People Home Equity!

  The Barnes team was very helpful and supportive throughout my home buying experience. Heath and Dominique were awesome and made the purchase of my home a non stressful experience. In addition to this they still reach out to me to see how were doing. Little things like Astro tickets and a private showing of the Lion King makes your customers feel special.   When shopping for a home there's so many little things to do, I didn't want to have to stress about my loan as well. People's home equity made the process easier. The rates were the best I could find and they walked me through the process step by step. Any problems or questions were rectified by helpful, knowledgeable professionals. Highly recommended

  Customer service is not being nice over the phone, it is about delivering your client your business trust. I started my application loan in May, 2018 it is now the end of July, and Esperanza has still not givin me my final approval.The worst part of it all it took her two months to get me approved for a FHA loan which I never applied for! I requested for a conventional loan. I cant even close on my dream home because she cant process my application properly. Please do your research before applying for a loan, unless you want your excellent credit score to end up with a hard inquiry, and no loan approval like me. Laura Maya

  I was very disappointed with this company. They pre-approved me at 5 percent down. I paid the Ernest money, required homeowner's online course, inspection, etc. Secured homeowner insurance for the new place. They set a closing date! I was so excited! Gave notice where I lived, scheduled movers. Then 3 days before the closing date they let me know I would need an additional $10,000 or the loan would not close! I was completely packed and had to move since I'd given notice. I had to find a place in only a couple of days! So that was $500 more plus new deposit, etc. I lost over $3000! Beware!

  Zach Wolf is hands down the best loan officer! Great with communication to keep everyone updated every step of the transaction, and proactive to get the file closed! Takes the time to answer all your questions and explain the process. Zach is your go to lender!!!

  Absolutely great experience with Heath Barnes and his staff. They were wonderful to work with and got the job done just as they said they would. I will recommend them to everyone I know looking for a mortgage!
