  Worst mortgage company ever. Please stay away from the company; the escrow department screwed up my account soo bad that now I'm paying double my mortgage. On top of that, nobody seems to care to provide anything helpful to fix this problem ☹

  Have been a client with PennyMac for four and half years. So thought we just refinance our home with them. Started the process October 7th, 2020 and as of January 15, 2021 still waiting on them to complete. Credit was great, provided all documents they needed right away, never missed one mortgage payment or late in the 4 1/2 yrs. Nothing pending on our side all PennyMac. I asked why is the process taken so long, told will take up with management this was on 12/30. As of 1/15 I get a call still don't know why the process is taken so long I am told by assigned customer service rep. I do not recommend PennyMac, and now going to look to take our business elsewhere to someone that really wants our business.

  I have been in Real Estate for 20 years and my recent refinance with PennyMac was one of the worst experiences ever. Closing took a month longer than it was supposed to and I had next to no communication with their team. They first held closing up for a septic survey and inspection on a home that is on city water. 4 months later I am still battling to have the property taxes paid that were withheld from cash at closing. I will be filing a Title Insurance claim to finally get some resolution.

  I’ve worked with Penny Mac loan service for 15 mouths and had nothing but positive things to say about the company. They are easy to work with, communicate with and always there to help and answer any questions I had. penny Mac made it convenient to pay my morgage and gain additional information through their app service. After researching and debating to refinance it was no doubt in my mind I would want to refinance with PennyMac. The process was so easy, very fast and it blew my mind the outcome I received after my refinance. I would 100% recommend them to anyone ready to purchase a home or refinance. Their service is impeccable!!

  We were contacted by PennyMac with an offer to refinance our loan because of low loan to value, and promptness of payment. This should have been a quick and easy process, but became a long slog, with multiple requests for the same documents, inept evaluation of tax documents, disregard of information in emails, and non-responsiveness of representatives. It took three months to complete this refinance, although documentation requested was always completed quickly, all requests for information were dealt with in a timely manner. The entire process was frustrating, at times infuriating, and I spent many hours dealing with corporate incompetence. Even the closing process was problematic, as we made appointments that were not kept, had to sign twice, and some of the closing paperwork was inaccurate and no one was available to resolve questions or give clear information during the signing appointment.

  I bought a new house and worked with Service First Mortgage Company on the loan. I explained I was going sell my current home and then immediately pay off the loan. Closed on the new loan 7-11-19 and then closed on selling my current home on 7-22-19. Tried to contact and payoff the new loan within a couple days. Service First had already sold my mortgage to PennyMac. I won’t bore you with the details, but don’t get caught in this situation because you can’t payoff the loan with the first loan company because they will not accept your check and PennyMac hasn’t even got your information into their computer system. In the meantime the interest clock is ticking. After talking to three different representatives on the phone and having to get a payoff amount in the mail, I finally was able to payoff the loan. Will never use Service First Mortgage Company or PennyMac ever again.

  Just bought a new home through PennyMac (for a 2nd time). A PennyMac representative called me when my house went on market and said we'd like to keep you as a customer and finance your new home. I agreed after having some issues with the broker I was currently using. The broker (whom I'd used before), was not returning calls/emails as quickly as we needed them to, therefore, I dropped them and went with PennyMac. Received a lower interest rate too (no complaints there!). All PennyMac representatives were kind, courteous and made sure we were happy and understood the entire process. John Anding and Craig Wood were outstanding through the process (kudos to you both)!! I NEVER had to call them at all for anything as they were both on top of every step and would contact me first. I highly recommend PennyMac if you're looking for a mortgage lender!!

  The worst customer services I have ever experienced. If I could give them negative stars I would. I have been paying my mortgage on time every month for 12 years and yet they do not return the favor. Going on 14 working days to get my insurance check returned from them. Texas Department of Insurance says they have 10 days to send the check back. I sure hope it includes interest!

  I have been with PennyMac for over 7 years now. Everything has been great as well as their site. They reached out to do a refinance. Why not as we had an FHA loan at 4% and PMI. They were able to actually keep the payments the same eliminate PMI at 3.5% for a 15 year conventional loan. We went through the process and was a painless as it could be. Our rep Nichole was fantastic. Everything was done electronically and secure through a portal. We got periodic updates by email of our status as well as follow up calls from Nichole. It took less than 30 days and we had a closing date. We were traveling so they sent a notary to our hotel to do the signing. It was then funded a few days later. We received confirmation of the loan closed and the new one opened. I can not say enough good things about the process and communication. They also made a big point to say they don't sell the loans and want long term customers. That is rare. Thank you for putting us in a better spot with our home and our equity.

  My experience was exemplary. Our Agent went above and beyond my expectations and she followed with us from the beginning to the end of the transaction. She was so helpful and understanding that she should get a bonus and the The Customer Service Award that I would think is given to special employees monthly or yearly, please contact me for her name as I do not want to post her name publicly for privacy issues, my email address is in my file.
