  Stopped in today after work to just browse around the store to see what new stock they had. As soon as i walked in i saw how busy the staff was with the 10 or so customers they had. One man was not happy because i guess he missed his pawn on his watch. Like come on dude you missed the date its not on these guys, but then i heard him talk about how the pocket watch was his grandfathers and he made it through world war 2 with it so it struck a chord in my heart. The guys behind the desk tried everything they could to help the man but he left, no watch in hand. It was at that point that something amazing happened, i saw the watch and it was cheap enough that i could buy it. I quickly gave the guys my money and took the watch and ran outside. I saw the man still distraught and i told him about the watch and i had enough to get it. I thanked him very much for missing his pawn and now i have a shiny new watch!

  I was very pleased with the service at the Somerdale location. Brett was very trustworthy and fair. I will definitely refer friends and family to this place of business. I came back a second time and I met Warren and I was again pleased. Awesome service.

  Can’t help but acknowledge how awesome, friendly, and trustworthy the staff were. They were very honest and helpful in regards to an object I sold and led me to a beautiful turquoise ring at a reasonable price!

  They look on Amazon and eBay to look there prices up and see how much they going for and then want to low ball u I don’t like this store at all

  Awesome shop, really clean, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They have a lot of great deals and offer a wide variety of products. I highly recommend following their Instagram page as well. I happened to be scrolling through it one day and noticed that they had just posted a Samsung Gear S2 watch that looked brand new. They post their new products and best deals on there. If your in the area or an avid shopper of pawn shops, Somerdale Pawn Outlet is a must see!

  I normally don't write reviews but wanted to help out a fellow shoppers for the future. I first wanna say I have shopped and sold with somderdale pawn in the past and was happy with all the previous transactions. I am not sure if I was dealing with the wrong staff or if it being close the holidays made it different but my last 2 visits left me unsure if I will use them again in the future. The 2 things that I just wanna inform fellow patrons with are the following things that being a former customer had me scratching my head on. The first thing was gift cards. A couple months earlier I learned they purchased unused gift cards; something that we all forget about over the holidays or special events. I am not a person that ever uses some or any of the gift cards so to be able to get cash for them was really great. The reason I am bringing this up is bc a month before the holiday I went to cash 2 cards in and all of a sudden there was a large drop in the % they wanted to pay for the cards. Obviously, it is a convinence for me that they even buy the cards but I felt a little handcuffed when all of a sudden the cash % for the same gift card just a couple weeks earlier had dropped considerably. To the point I didn't even accept the offer. Again I do appreciate that they even buy the cards but beware that your gift card values can change at anytime with them. Secondly, also be aware that depending who you deal with at the time of your transaction; if you are selling an item to somerdale pawn and for whatever reason decide to come back a day or two later you will be subject to paying a 80% mark up on that item to buy it back. Again, yes I do understand it not my business and they are there to make money. I totally understand and agree that they should make money on anything they are putting money out for or putting on the shelves, etc. The reason for this review is to give you fellow patrons just a heads up because what I was told when the item was bought from me from somerdale and when I actually came back a couple days later to buy back my item were night and day. I could understand interest of 10, 15, or even 20% but I was charged 80% (on top of original purchase price) to buy my item back. Lastly, I am sorry for the long review and I had good experiences in the past but the last couple really put a damper on my previous transactions and probablity of returning.
