  Specializes in tax planning for small business owners. Has a niche for helping Realtors, Chiropractors, and Dentists save money on taxes. And Paul is super friendly and knowledgeable. If you are self employed or own a business, don't pass him up! You can't afford to.

  I was very dissatisfied the service provided by Paul Dion, CPA. I have historically done my own taxes, but due to a more complex situation for my 2016 taxes I decided to hire Paul Dion, CPA. When I received my initial return from them, there were glaring and costly mistakes. Had I not had the wherewithal to question certain items on the return they prepared, I would have paid an additional $8,000 in taxes due to mistakes made by Paul Dion, CPA. The bottom line is that I hired Paul Dion, CPA as a tax professional to apply scrutiny and a critical eye to my return in order to maximize my tax deductions and tax liability. I clearly did not get that. In fact, I got quite the opposite. The mistakes he made on my return should have been caught in his own internal review process and should have been rectified before the return was ever sent to me. I feel I could have done a better job myself using TurboTax.

  Rob, I’m sorry you were disappointed. We were too. You see, we can’t do our job thoroughly when we don’t receive all the information. Your initial return reflected what you provided. It wasn’t until you saw the return that you noticed you may not have provided all the necessary information. We’re glad you did and that we were able to reduce your tax bill by another $8,000. Fortunately, we charge a fixed fee for returns. If we charged by the hour as some other firms usually do, your fee for the many hours put into preparing your return could have been 5 times the cost you paid. I get excited when I can find extra tax savings for my clients in both our tax planning and preparation. When we finished your return I was especially excited that our collaboration saved you that additional $8,000 in taxes. I’m sorry that our collaboration in finding this extra money was seen as a flaw in our service instead of the process of getting the most value possible.
