  NEVER USE NXT Mortgage. I was using them as my lender for a home purchase this past summer, and the day before closing, I received an email from the “title company” with closing/wiring instructions. I forwarded it to my lender at NXT and he approved the wire, so I sent the money for closing. Turns out the email was a fraud email, and the wire was unable to be cancelled. We ended up losing the house and $60,000 because NXT, THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FINANCIAL ASPECT OF THIS DEAL, approved the wiring instructions to a fraudulent account. The firm has refused to accept any responsibility and left me out high and dry. Please never use NXT Mortgage.

We appreciate when our clients give us honest feedback and we thank you for taking the time to express your opinion. However, we kindly ask that you represent the facts correctly. Our team did not "approve the wiring instruction to a fraudulent account" as you've claimed on this review. In fact, our team followed proper processes and procedures in our communication of the Final Closing Disclosure email, which stated "please be sure to confirm wire instructions with title company to wire your funds." Additionally, the title company previously sent secure wiring instructions and warned “Never trust wiring instructions sent via email” and “Always independently confirm wiring instructions in person or via a telephone call to a trusted and verified phone number.” While these criminal actions cannot be undone at this point, NXT has been and continues to be willing to provide reasonable efforts to assist law enforcement as necessary.

  Tyler Hodgson of NXT assisted me with a re-financing of my primary residence. He explored all my options and obtained for me a better rate than what existing lender was willing to provide. Worked through the issues as they arose including the unwillingness of my existing HELOC provider to subordinate their lien. Throughout the process, Tyler was responsive, helpful and patient. He understands his business and how to get the desired outcome for his clients.

  I cannot tell you how smooth and easy this process was with Tyler and NXT Mortgage. Tyler was supportive and patient as we shopped around for rates (6 lenders to be exact). He was available at all times to clarify and answer any questions. We heard buying a house was a stressful event; however, we feel that Tyler and NXT Mortgage really cared to make this as smooth for us. We have already recommended them to two other happy clients! We are so thankful for such truly caring and friendly companies! Yay NXT!

  Tommy Kim and NXT Mortgage have been nothing but incredible. I have many things to say, but since this is a review, I would like to just keep it simple but to the point: 1. Tommy is the hardest working man I've met. The loan process went by so smoothly, even though my profile was not the easiest to work with. 2. Tommy is not just responsive, but he is relational. I got nervous through the home buying process and texted him at 12 AM, expecting a reply the next day. But every time, I received a phone call from him explaining to me in detail regarding my questions. 3. Tommy is a great teacher. For those who are a first time home buyer, the loan process can be intimidating. But I can guarantee you with my experience as proof that Tommy will teach and guide you through the process. 4, Last but not least, Tommy is just a great guy to work with and to talk with. At the end of the day, you are going to be talking to the loan officer a LOT. And Tommy made the relationship extremely comfortable for me.
