Carolyn Lemire1Less than one star! I had an escrow Acct with my mortgage. They said they paid my tax bills and insurance bills but they never did. I ended up being dropped my from insurance policy bc they never paid it, then they charged me for a policy 6x more expensive than my policy. I didn’t find out until the end of the year when they suddenly closed my escrow account. There was no documentation as to why or how. When I called them, I spent over two hours on the phone with the only explanation that they don’t know what happened. Then when I went to find insurance again, I couldn’t find anyone to insure me bc I had a lapse in coverage. I ended up paying double for a horrible policy, but it was literally the only one I could get. The customer service manager gave me her direct line…..that immediately hangs up on you. I’m flabbergasted. I will be reporting to BBB.

PM FAMILY!1Worst mortgage company anyone can ever have they lifted my mortgage 50$ because they thought I didn't have insurance on the house so they went and bought the most expensive one..

Ron Dijcks1Zero. Less than Zero. This company was forced on us when our Mortgage Loan was sold/transferred from our Original Lender to them... As a borrower on our home loan, we have absolutely NO choice in this process. NewRez is about as customer friendly as a Cat is to a Goldfish. They offer NO level of help related to Rate Reductions, or Refinancing, and you'd be better off to refinance AWAY from NewRez if you can, and PRAY that you are not "sold" to them again. In short, if you can avoid them , do it.

Faith Nouri1I have been having a loan with them for 3 years. I have applied to reduce my rate. No cash out. I am always making my payment with never any issues. You think this is a good client, right? It has taken 4 months and no communication. I have to check the application status online since they do not communicate. Online, they kept asking for the same documents three times that were loaded and visible online. You wonder why not read the uploaded doc. I can click and see them!! There is no check and balance. The other day, I left a voice mail with the underwriter to let me know what is the status as my online application started in April and now is August. Online said my rate is locked until August 18th. Today is August 11th, I now check online and my application is totally gone. Either it has been removed or they closed it without telling me. Why? Because I called and asked for status? I only reached out to them since I had loan with them. What a mistake. Where do you see such an unprofessionalism? There is no check and balance. Their underwriter or whoever is handling these for Newrez provides 0 customer service. My whole loan application is missing, after 4 months. They are the most incompetent company. People who work in that refinancing department must have no experience and they waste time.

Buddy Montgomery1Help me!! My mortgage loan was just sold to New Rez - Nothing but trouble from the start. Now they are saying I don't have property insurance - when I absolutely do. You can's get in touch with them. Have been on hold now for over 45 minutes and all I get is music and an annoying "thank you for your business". This company is HORRIBLE!!!!! Avoid at all cost.

Tamara Henderson1I can never log in to the payment portal because it always says my password is incorrect. I'm trying to also apply for Covid19 relief, due to my husband and I testing positive for Covid-Everytime I click submit, the page never loads to let me know it was sent. The whole thing has been a huge hassle. I hate complaining, but this company needs someone to step in and help them.

Bill Fuller1New Rez Mortgage absolutely horrible. Horrible and threatening. My hazard insurance company cancelled me for no good reason and failed to notify me, so I went from 12-04-2020 to 12-22-2020 without hazard insurance and now I get threatening letters from incompetent new rez saying that theyre going to charge me foe those days that I had no insurance and the letter has a 877 area code number. # times i have left my number to try and dwal with new rez incpomptence. Maybe I should refi my home with another mortgage company. New Rez, you are awful.

Kathy Damiani1The worst mortage company I have ever had to deal with! March or April 2020: Made a payment on the 16th of the month, via my online banking- my bank sent them a check on the 23rd. NewRez did not post the payment until the next month. Late payment was reported to the credit agencies. We have had our home 14 years, we have NEVER been late on a payment into the 30 day range. When I called to get this corrected, I was told there was nothing they can do, becase my payment was not posted to my account until the 1st of the following month. Regardless of the date on the check or the post mark of when it was mailed. NewRez also had my mortage account address incorrect ( mailing address was correct). Ask the person on the phone to have it corrected....still wrong on the refinance advertising they sent me 2 weeks ago. Not only do they NOT care about their customers during this pandemic, they are incompetent to fix or update their own mistakes on their records. Will be refinancing just to get away from this horrible company, (my loan was sold to them at the beginning of 2020). If you have choice or are thinking about using this compay, save yourself...DON'T DO IT!!

Nicole Rooney1If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is literally the WORST mortgage company in the world. If you have the displeasure of getting stuck with this company, I suggest you refinance immediately. They have terrible customer service, cannot figure out billing information, constantly add late fees even when you can prove they have already received your payment, and charge your for their own insurance, even after proving MULTIPLE times that you have your own. I seriously don't understand how this business is still running. They are complete frauds!

Mario Pena1It’s been appx 3 1/2 months and this company still can’t close my refi loan. There now asking for 10 more items of documentation. Mind you there my current mortgage servicer..... I’m only doing refi to remove mortgage insurance and get a lower interest rate. These people are very incompetent and like to drag things on. They have way too many excuses. There right hand has no idea what there left hand is doing.
