  So I'm just gonna say that I only went in to get a money order. I don't actually qualify for any programs there or a bank account. However, the young lady behind the desk was very helpful and did everything she could to at least TRY to get my sister and I a money order but it didn't work out 🤣 It's fine though! Still had a great experience regardless.

  All I wanted to do was open savings accounts for my grand children. Natasha was not knowledgeable or confident about these accounts and did not know what forms I needed to fill out. When I asked for a manager, Nikki shared she was the Manager only to find out later, she was the Sr. Member Representative. This was confirmed by Natasha. Because of my frustration, after being there from 2:30 till 3:44 pm and my raised voice, Jamani started hanging around itching to say something, so she did. She said she heard everything. She's good , as she waited on several clients while I was still trying to set up these account. Then I got a call next day, they still did not get it right. I need to see where I go from here.

  I love this branch!! When I lived in Portsmouth they were the closest to me. I always had a quick trip there. When I moved and my debit card was stolen..I happened to be ON MY WAY back to VA for a visit and stopped in this branch to get a new debit card. If I am ever back in the area and need to stop by a Navy Fed to withdraw from my account, I will definitely stop by here.

  Edit Nov 15 19 I put 27 crisp 20s in the drive thru atm it instantly spit them all over and i had to chase my money across the parking lot. Super windy and raining was a blast lost 1 20. Atms are always down. They're ancient still running windows 7. Almost everytime i go 1 or both is down. Very frustrating.

  They have a state of art AM. Just installed a couple of months ago. It works just fine, I deposited a check. Everything went smoothly. Just the way I like it. Good job. Navy Federal C. U..

  Yes, they are always very busy. But I have used them for years and have never had poor service. They always have had multiple lines open inside. I am sure they are aware of the high volume at their location as a second NFCU is being built just off Portsmouth Blvd by the Lowes. I believe I have used every teller and every supervisor, never once have I been dissapointed or treated unprofessionally. They also have contracted out security to Portsmouth Police department (they run periodic shifts, I know some of the officers) and they have a free coinstar machine and their hours are very nice. Realistically, this establishment appears well run. Thats all I care about.

  I can't recall if the tellers name was AJ or MJ but she was extremely helpful and nice. This is the best branch I have been in to, I highly recommend going to this one, they give you one on one service and do not rush you away.

  Went to the drive thru and waited about 45 min until i got the teller... There was only 2 out of 3 lanes at 3:30 on the 15th... The gentleman that heped me knew it was a long time because he apologized for the wait. The inside was too busy otherwise I would have went inside. I just think all lanes should be open if its the 15th and around the time everyone gets off..
