  My experience started good after I called them and told them what I was looking for. After supplying massive information for a refi of my manufactured home ( in a coop park) and then getting no word from them for weeks it became a bit frustrating... it seemed like I was the making calls to find out they yet needed more information...I had to wait for about a month to finally get a statement in the mail telling me that "Value of type of collateral insufficient" with no detailed information on what exactly they did to evaluate this. There was no offer of perhaps some money up front or ???? what ever... no phone call telling me what happend nothing... the funny part is there are others in my park that do have financing from them and my home is very nice compared to theirs and I have decent equity in my home. I did business with the San Luis Obispo office and the paper work was sent to the Fresno office because that's where the decisions are made. So don't waist your time calling a branch to find out what is going on with your application.... This place was a huge waist of time for me. Pissed me off. I would recommend you keep shopping for a better deal on a chattel loan type. If you do decide to do business with these guys ... keep calling them to get the status because they will lead you down a long road of waiting if you are not efficient on initiating communication.

  I'm a 20 yr vet. of the USCG and USN. Served during the Vietnam War and the First Gulf War. Applied for a 90K loan, with 70K down with Murphy Bank. I had 250K saved up in my IRA, my wife about 150K in her 401Ks, she's still working as a SQL programmer and Reporting Analyst and I've been approved for Soc. Sec. pmts to go with my Navy retirement, so we have around +90K in income. but after two months of deliberation Murphy Banks wants more paperwork plus they deleted the paperwork I'd already sent in. I think that's called, "The banks thank you for your bailout funds and your service, the parties and bonuses here have been really grand!" Murphy Bank with the last bank on earth I ever approach for a loan in the future.

  Small local bank with great customer care. They seem to know you before you even give them your account number. They financed my new mfg home and were very professional but friendly.
