  I was directed to this company on a "hail mary " type basis. i was trying so hard to get my credit score up to buy my first home. Darrell was the one who, i was lucky enough to be the one who answered the call. He was amazing. he was very informative, and answered all my questions. He set me on the path to a VERY quick credit score upgrade! If it wasn't for Darrell and the program and company I would not be able to get my home!   I met Darrell Hornbacher about ten years ago and we became friends but I knew very little about his business, Midas Financial. When we first met I didn't need any of the services Darrell's company provided but little did I know I'd soon experience heart failure. And after fighting with the hospital over an "extra" 100K tacked on my bill they sent that portion to the credit bureaus. I had perfect credit and had paid more than 200k to the hospital already but because I disputed the extra amounts the collection company reported 32 separate negative items. Most of those were for under $100 each and all from the same hospital. I called Darrell and expressed my frustration and inability to get any of this rectified directly with the hospital. He told me to send him all the info and trust him. I did and over the next two months I saw these disputed items dropped from my report and my score started heading to the upper 700's. Darrell and his firm delivered exactly what they said they would. As a bonus since the collection company no longer had leverage they did agree to settle the remaining balance more inline with what I felt was owed.

  I originally made contact with Midas Financial through a close mutual friend. He vouched for the company and put together a face-to-face meeting with Wes and Darrell to discuss funding for me and my friends respective companies. I decided to give them a try first, and began the process they required to obtain their funding. During the process, there were situations that I could only describe as shady and unsettling, and the legality of some of the process was being questioned in my own mind. I would always put it to rest with “These guys were recommended by a good friend, and they probably know more than me about this.” and I would leave it at that. I often questioned the fact -sometimes openly to them on the phone- that they hinted at getting me funding I couldn’t get without them, yet they kept asking what banks I used, and ultimately, ended up ONLY using banks I was already a member of for loans, and then shotgunning credit card apps out in hopes of getting approvals at other institutions. This is something anyone can do, and not at the ridiculously high fees they charge. Ultimately they NEVER ended up using the supposed unavailable-to-me financial connections they had. This, and other details I would rather not mention in a public forum, were cause for concern. Couple all that with the absolute lack of communication during the process, and the vagueness of a lot of their answers to my questions, and having to basically beg for a paid invoice when it was over, I was less than happy. I warned my close friend who was also looking to work with them of what happened, and of my unsavory experience with the company. But in the end, after paying the high fee (Which you find out you can only wire or pay in cash after the fact) I did eventually get some of the funding I was going after. Maybe I just had a bad experience, and they would have to decide on their own if it was worth it going forward. I decided not to write a review at the time, as to not interfere with the possible funding of my friend if they did decide to use Midas Financial. So this brings us to why I am on here writing a review of this company after the fact. My good friend did end up trying to get funding with Midas and it was an even worse experience than I had. Afterwards, they wrote a review reflecting his high fees, lackadaisical attitude toward anyone he thinks is below him financially, and shady-at-best business practices. Now, Darrell is emailing my friend and his family threatening emails, saying they must remove their reviews or he will come after them financially. Disrespect, bullying, and censorship of the truth are things I cannot abide, and that is why I am writing this review. After their experience, I ended up doing the digging I should have done beforehand. I didn’t have to look too hard before I found multiple reviews across multiple platforms telling the same story of him threatening to sic his lawyers on people as soon as they gave a bad review, or questioned him after services “rendered”. You will find these stories across his credit repair services, funding services, and even a few from people who have done work for him. He talks about being a street-level capitalist from Michigan and prides himself on not being a financier of the Wall-Street elite. That’s a good slogan and all, but in my opinion, he only wants to finance the “little guys” because he knows they don’t have the know-how, financial backing and/or lawyers on retainer to come after him, and he can bully them into silence.

  The management of Midas Financial Company finds this complaint to be fictitious. Jess W came to Midas last summer to obtain unsecured financing. We obliged. Jess W says the process was shady, unsettling and questioned the legality. Yet he went forward with funding, obtained funding, and paid his bill. It stands to reason that Jess W is not telling the whole story. It was MONTHS AGO when he went through the Midas funding process. He paid his bill in a timely fashion and not once did he bring to our attention that he had any concerns, or was unhappy in any way with Midas or the process. The balance of his statement is a complete fabrication. None of it happened as Jess W has penned. If it had, doesn't it stand to reason that Jess W would have made sure his "friend" didn't use Midas Financial Company for his funding needs after his own unsavory experience? His "friend" was trying to evade paying a legitimate bill owed to the company. When faced with professional correspondence that he was being turned over to collections and the company attorney for suit, he, his wife, and now Jess W have started burning up the internet with defamatory statements regarding things that never happened. All can be proven by a series of e-mails that Midas Financial Company is happy to provide to anyone interested in reading. The fact of the matter is that obtaining business loans and lines in this manner is used by almost 40% of the small business owners in this country who are looking to obtain capital. Over 90% of the unsecured lending in this country is done in this exact same fashion. It is certainly legal and certainly NOT shady or unethical. As a matter of fact, Midas Financial Company has obtained over a BILLION dollars for their clients in this exact fashion over the last 15.5 years. Our record is impeccable with literally thousands of 5-star ratings around the internet. Our President is a Christian family man with two young children. He has over 20,000 verifiable volunteer hours at various 501c3's and took a year long sabbatical from the company in 2014/15 to be the foster parent of four little boys who grew up in a torture chamber. Someone is not telling the truth. Evidence is now in the hands of our company attorney which all proves it is not the President of Midas that is lying. The Midas company attorney is dealing with it accordingly.

  In a time period where I could choose to either expand my one-man-show into a real business or stay small and invisible, I decided to take the plunge with Midas and see what their funding magic could do so that I could hire some help. In a little less than three weeks, I had a $90K credit line of which I would have had literally no idea how to obtain on my own and certainly no reason for any bank to extend to me. Years later, I can look back to that event as one of the most important business decisions I made, which opened doors for growth that would have taken years to evolve otherwise. Not only do I recommend Midas for funding, but for the guidance they provide for what to do with that funding once you have it.
