  Simply put... Merchants and their team of amazing staff have provided me with the best experience I've ever had in personal and business banking. The management and service team are exceptional to work with. Beyond friendly and courteous interactions, they are true "strategic" partners in looking out for their customer's best interests. I also appreciate their ongoing dedication to our community's civic pride and charitable generosity. This is a business that cares and gives back in a way that makes Cottage Grove a better place.   Nothing but high praise for The Merchants Bank in Cottage Grove, my granddaughter needed a account before she started her new job on Monday! I never imagined that it would be a issue but we were turned away from other banks twice before going to Merchants because we didn’t have a appointment. I am happy to say the minute we walked into Merchants we were welcomed & given professional attention, a account was opened & they’ve gained a customer for life. Thanks Alyssa for taking the time to help a 16 year old.

  I decided to switch to this bank after being through the wringer with a larger, national bank. I’ve been very pleased with all my interactions with the staff. Very personable/reasonable bank. More of the hometown feel, where they actually know who you are. I even recently refinanced my mortgage through Merchant’s and was happy with how it all was handled. Communication was great, even when the person I started working with went on maternity leave.

  I recently went to the bank in search of a lower interest rate for my credit card debt. Let me tell you I was amazed with how Personable, professional and efficient Alyssa Frascht was! I can’t believe how long I Procrastinated! It was so simple and very easy to work with her and merchants! Highly recommend stopping in just to see what they can do for you! Thanks again Alyssa!

  I haven’t had a bank account in many many years. I finally decided to get one and picked merchants to open an account with! Alyssa Frascht helped me open and learn how to run and manage my account step by step. I know that if I ever have any questions she is a phone call or 15 minute drive away. The whole team at cottage grove merchants bank was amazing!

  My wife and I love this bank. Merchants Bank is definitely a community bank that cares about its customers. We have always been customers of the larger banks. This was a great change for us. They answer any questions we have within a reasonable time and with kind service. We will definitely recommend this bank!

  A GREAT, LOCAL BANK!!!!! ALYSSA IS VERY HELPFUL AND THE OVERALL ATMOSPHERE OF THE BANK IS WONDERFUL. CERTAINLY NOT A "BANK CONGLOMERATE" FEEL!! HUMANS ANSWER THE PHONE!!!! HOW NICE IS THAT?????

  My husband and I have banked with them since they started here in Cottage Grove. We've always received excellent customer service every time we've gone there. Great people...and I get a birthday card every year!!!!! I would recommend this bank to anyone who wants great customer service and a hometown feel.

  My favorite home town bank! Oldest Bank in Minnesota and there is a reason for that! The staff at our branch is great! Jeff Carter with business loans, Randy Bachman as the branch manager, Alyssa Frascht as the teller manager and Melissa and Jackson as tellers! Great job everyone!!
