Matthew Lassegard1Found car on Car Gurus. Car looked great. Arrived friendly receptionist. Great explaination of the process. Said that water damaged cars only had water up to the floor boards. Took me a long time looking at cars. I sat in many. Most if not all had some stink (strong chemical or mildew) I found the one I was looking for. It smelled like mildew. Numerous pieces of the interior was removed or in disarray. There were personal items in the trunk and front seat that belonged to the previous owner. There was a letter with the owners name and phone number. I called him and he said the front part of the car was lower in the water than the back . He started the car in the water and then it died. The water definately went into the engine compartment. Sooo buyers beware. Question to ask them. How do they know the water only went up to the floorboards.? It appears this batch of cars came from a Texas.

ebisa gelatta5This is the best place to buy a used cars. I really appreciate everyone of you and specially Nathan, which is one of the salesman. He was able to show me many cars and was able to pick the best car for my self. He was with me the whole process and I appreciate that. I will defiantly recommend this place to others.

Dave Norling5I bought a repairable vehicle here a few weeks ago, the price was good as was the vehicle. It was fairly represented and I felt like I got a real good bang for my buck. What was really nice was the way I was taken care of. In the course of the transaction I interacted with people in the sales arena and people out in their yard, all of whom offered assistance along the way. I even had a guy come out of the shop and ask me if I would like a milk crate to stand on while I was under the hood of the truck. Pretty amazing bunch of people. Dave N

Joey Hattab1Oh, you can't test drive cars unless they say 'done' on the windshield, pretty much drove 40 miles for him to tell me the cars I came to see weren't ready to be test driven, okay, WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ON THE WEBSITE THEN? He tells me people put $300 deposit, we get it ready in 2 weeks, then you can test drive it, are you kidding me? In a sea full of cars you can test drive a few, and they're most likely none of the ones you saw on the website. Hint to the managers: if you can't keep up with the inventory stop buying hundreds of cars.

Robert Darling1Terrible experience trying to buy car. Called in to ask about 2014 GT500 for sale. Was told it is for sale privately by one of the sales people even though it is on the company site. Spoke to this sales person to ask questions about salvage title, options on the car, any Carfax or AutoCheck and replaced engine and trans as part of this was superficially mentioned in the ad and the rest wasn't referenced at all. I was on the phone with him for about one minute and he couldn't answer some of the questions even though it is his car! Finally he said that he was a busy man and had a customer standing near him and hung up on me. Are you kidding me?!!?! He couldn't give me reasonable information about his own car, didnt want to spend time with me on the phone to help me and help himself to sell it and then was rude speaking to me at the end and hung up on me! It is a $35k car and I was being reasonable and appropriate and most importantly have the interest and $ to buy. What kind of people and what kind of dealership is this place?!?! Guess they don't care about customers and don't want to sell their cars!!!

Shane Q5I had a chance for one of those "too-good-to-be-true" deals, and I got it. My experience was much different that others, and I'd like to clarify a few things: 1. When I called, they made it very clear that they deal in Insurance Auctions, so most, if not all of their cars have salvage titles (usually flood). They also explained that they go through them and restore, then sell. Understanding this is key. 2. It's not a flashy dealership, there's not some guy hanging over you forcing you to buy their cars. you can test drive, inspect, and they even encourage you to have it checked out by your own trusted mechanic. So, if you want some plush carpet dealership with people who have nothing better to do than to hover over you, this isn't your place. HOWEVER, if you want to look at some cars that are in considerably good shape, and prices well below book value, then this is the place to look! 3. If you're looking to haggle with them, consider this: a. just like the vehicle I purchased, just about every car has 3 people wanting it, so your lowball offer is probably not going to fly. Take the price they're offering and be happy. b. if there's something that obviously needs to be repaired, ask for a discount if you deal with it. I got money off because I was willing to do the brakes myself. 4. I'm not sure about others experience, but I called them in the morning, and the salesman went OUT into the lot to visibly ensure it was still available. I then called just before I left to look that afternoon... again, he visibly checked to make sure it was still available. I've seen the big dealerships leave ads up for weeks for cars that are gone. That is not unique... it's a pain, but it's part of car shopping. CALL and VERIFY. if the person is not willing to visibly CHECK that the car is still on the lot, move on to another dealership who will. Their staff was professional and courteous. Willing to answer any questions. My salesman was a busy guy, but was happy to stop and answer any questions I had. He didn't hover, but I also didn't have to hunt him down... he was easily available and visible. I took the time to look into the carfax of the vehicle I wanted. I was able to find it's history, and even had an idea of what they paid for it at auction. That still didn't bother considering the price tag. They had to purchase it, ship it to their facility, repair and refurbish... even at the price they were asking, I'm sure they were making money, (THAT'S why they're in business!) but I was saving money as well! One last thing. Contact your Insurance company regarding the vehicle, to ensure you can get the proper coverage on it. I had no issues with my insurance company, but there are stories out there. Be ahead of the curve, and get it straight regarding coverage. Thanks East Side Auto! Great deal! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the market again.

Jean Sramek5I was skeptical at first, but I had a great experience. The cars are all salvage titles, but most of them from hail damage--if you're just shopping for a second car or only plan to carry liability insurance, who cares about some dings and dents if it's below KBB value? You can "hold" a vehicle for $300 while you make up your mind, and then they'll give the car a once-over to make sure nothing's amiss (although you can take it to your own mechanic to have it checked out). I ended up not purchasing the car I looked it, but was impressed by their friendliness and honesty. I would recommend this place as an alternative to slick dealerships or the hassle of haggling with a private party.

Alex Sepulveda5I drove from Rochester a few times to look for the right vehicle for my wife, once we found the the one Eastside Auto made sure to put it on hold for us. When we were told the car was ready to be picked up we saw that the car had been cleaned, inspected and ready to go. They have a very friendly staff, helpful, not once made my wife feel that she didn't know about cars, never pushed a sell and their vehicles are price right. It is the second vehicle we buy from them and most likely we will come back for our next vehicle when we are ready. Thanks guys keep up the good work!

Paige B3Cars for sale at a great value - If you can get over the cosmetic damage. Low pressure sales, but accuracy of info given in order to make a sale was iffy at best. Overall relaxed environment, but also a bit lax on security - i.e. didn't need to see all drivers' licenses for test drives, or insurance info; vehicles left unlocked with keys inside; Employees could use a refresher on customer service skills - not rude, but more engagement and guidance would have been appreciated. More attention needs to be given to preparing vehicles for viewing - Interiors weren't dirty, but also had not been detailed either.

Carlton J5Family has bought three cars from them over the past 15 years. They sell cars at the lowest prices in the cities. This is because these are salvage cars and they are not in perfect condition and you do not get any warranty besides a 30 day bumper to bumper. Highly recommend this place if you do not require a warranty and know what to expect buying salvage titles.
