  I absolutely enjoyed working with Paul and his team. We were working previously with another lender and weren’t having a great experience. However, Paul turned all of that around, in no time! He was knowledgeable and responsive and got my husband and me an incredibly competitive interest rate. He crafted and proposed multiple loan structures that best fit our financial circumstances and objectives. Moreover, he was always accessible to answer our many questions, often providing clear responses, even outside of business hours. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a house, especially first time home buyers!

  I highly recommend Paul if you are buying a house. As a first time home buyer I was nervous and had a lot of questions. Paul had infinite patience and answered every question and never once made me feel bad for asking any questions. Also, he was VERY responsive, no matter the day or time, which I appreciated very much in this market where decisions have to be made quickly. He worked through multiple payment scenarios for my husband and I which was very helpful was we made final decisions when buying. Overall it was a wonderful experience working with Paul and I strongly recommend him. I would gladly work with him again in the future.

  I have worked with Paul on the purchase of three homes and have refinanced on one another occasion! I have recommended no less than 5 people to him. Paul and his team make the home buying process so easy. They have an easy to use portal for all required documents, there are videos on where you are in the process and where you are going next - for someone who likes to have all the information this is great! At any time, if you need to reach out, Paul and his team make you feel as if you are their only client!

  They say buying a house is supposed to be a stressful process, and at times it was. But I never, ever felt stressed when working with Paul and the team at McLean Mortgage. From our very first call to after we closed, Paul and team made everything SO easy for us. Time is obviously of the essence right now, and Paul was quick to respond to every question or request I threw his way; nights, weekends, he was there walking us through the process. He explained our options very clearly, which was key for us as first time home buyers. I felt like I asked a hundred dumb questions but Paul answered every single one with enthusiasm. I firmly believe that we would not have had such a clean closing if it were not for Paul. I cannot recommend him enough - if you're looking for a lender, look no further.

  Paul and McLean Mortgage made my wife Ksenija and I’s dream of homeownership possible. I was locked into another property, and thought I would not be able to obtain a loan sufficiently high enough to purchase a property in the D.C. area. At the time we purchased our home, the market was hot, and we were racing rising interest rates. Increased interest rates would have crippled our financial ability to make monthly payments. On top of that, previous efforts to obtain loans from my credit union took too long, came in to low, with a rate too high. This was with a credit score of around 800. Paul and his company made it so I was able to secure us a loan we could afford. Paul did such a good job, even my underwater property, which I have since sold, was not a detriment to the process. I worked with Paul for over two months. He not only helped me secure the loan, but worked with me while I was doing the home search. Paul may not be a psychologist, but he has their skills – he is empathetic, will listen to concerns, and will give you the best business advice specific to your individual situation. He would call or text in response to either, and was extremely responsive and accessible. Paul probably ran four different scenarios for every home we bid on, which was over four. When we had to overbid by 55K and lost, Paul talked us through the pros and cons of leaving the housing search, which we considered. I am glad Paul’s understanding of market trends in the D.C. area led me to conclude our need to preserve. In the end, we raced the clock and got an ARM we could afford monthly payments for, while securing a good rate before the interest hike. I was not comfortable with an ARM, but Paul laid out the pros and cons. So I decided to go with one. Paul is one of a few professionals in the real estate business who is responsible for our increased quality of life! We own a home we can enjoy the outdoors at, close to the Metro, and far more spacious than our apartment. Thank you Paul, as well as McLean Mortgage. I hope to work with you both in the future on my refinance!
