Cody Jewkes5Justin and Jared are awesome. My wife is the one who found Justin in the first place on a realtor page of some sort. About 3 years ago we sold our house with Justin. Fast forward about 3 years and here we are selling and moved to our final place to call home. Justin is great about communication, making time for you, shows up to closing and other scheduled appointments, great to help work with our home builder realtor. Even when we weren't completely sure if we were going to buy a existing home or build a new one, Justin took the time to show my wife existing houses for sale. While Justin was on vacation Jared was great about telling us our offers that came in and even a last minute offer we ended up taking. Overall we are very happy with their services and how they are patient with us the entire process. If we ever had to sell again we wouldn't hesitate calling Justin again. Would highly recommend Justin to anyone and feel you won't be disappointed with his service.

Linda Pugmire5Jared (and Justin) have helped us with all our real estate needs since we moved to Utah in 2007. We have purchased 6 homes and sold 2 over the years. This includes our primary residence and several rental homes and most recently, my parents’ home after they passed. They know the local market inside out. They are always accessible and move quickly. We have never been disappointed with the level of professionalism, knowledge, honesty and now friendship from Home Basics. They are the best in the business. I can’t say enough good about all they have done for us!

Kelly Swan5Justin was awesome to work with and patiently helped us buy our first home. He was professional, courteous and not the least bit pushy with contracts or agreements. He helped us find what we needed, advised us on fair cost for our purchase and quickly put together an offer when we needed it. Justin is simply a great guy to work with. I'd recommend him to anyone looking for a great agent.

Sarie Larson5We were so grateful for Justin's help in purchasing a home here in Utah County. He was always patient and willing to work with our schedules. He was prompt in communicating with us and always took time to answer our questions and teach us about the home buying process. The market is crazy, but we're grateful for Justin's help in navigating things to get us into a home. Thanks for all your help!

Matthew Kenison5Met Jared while renting an apartment. Couple years later he helped my wife and I buy a home. We have since sold that home and purchased another. With each transaction Jared was there to help us out. Both he and Justin were able to help us at a moments notice including answering millions of questions, looking at many properties all over Utah County, and getting insights on local market trends. It may sounds weird, but one of the things I have most been impressed with, is their ethics and values. Never pressuring for a sale, and always using open communication every step of the way. They're great people and have a awesome team of people working with them. I recommend both of them to anyone looking for a home.

Alexandra Brown Franco4We bought our first home through them and we were happy with how lucky we got. If you're looking for a no-pressure agent, these are the guys to go with. They will give you facts and information without ever making you feel pressured to buy. In fact, I'm giving 4 stars because it was a great experience, but sometimes we wish our agent would have been MORE involved in pushing us to make a wise decision. Overall, as first-time buyers, they made the whole process exciting and simple to understand.

David Heslington5I have rented from Homebasics real estate on two different occasions, for a total of about 6 years, I just purchased a home with them also! They have always been great to work with, Very professional, polite, followed up on all maintenance requests. Matt Remund was my agent during the purchase process, and let me say, he was absolutely wonderful to work with, he kept in touch with me with every step of the way, answered all of my questions, very patient, and got the job done! Recommend this company highly!

Sara Ansted1Have you noticed the way they air everyone's dirty laundry in public on these review replies? All sorts of negative reviews are met with "here's all the private drama that happened with these people, and we're trying to pretend like that makes us look like the ones in the right." That is not professional, and it is not appropriate. And, unfortunately, that's the way it is when dealing with these folks in a business capacity. They always seem nice, friendly, and helpful until a problem arises. Then, if you don't accept their platitudes about "that's just the policy", but demand actual explanations from them, they get mean quickly. They spend so much time accusing me of being wrong in my emails that they fail to actually answer questions that I have asked. They write sassy replies in all caps that tell me how they're right and I'm wrong, and I better stop stirring the pot. They claim to have helped me to their full extent while also completely ignoring entire email threads. It's a mess. And you can see that in their own words, as they reply to any non-positive reviews, here. **UPDATE: notice how they accuse me here of making fake accounts to write bad reviews. I did not. Nor did anyone that I know of. Neither did I break my lease. This is provable in court, but they seem to be unable to believe me when I say so.
Response from the ownerSara I am sorry you are frustrated. This is a frustrating situation. Default of a lease agreement results in serious consequences. Our office has been trying to help you through this situation in an effort to mitigate the damages caused by your decision to break your lease. The lease nor the law obligate us to provide any of the support we have attempted to give you during this difficult time for you. The efforts made on your behalf have not produced the desired outcome at this point. Rather than recognizing the time and resources we have spent to help you sell your contract, again something that the lease itself does not allow for, you have chosen to write voluminous emails filled with insults, expressions of our incompetency, accusations of lying, suspicions of our integrity, and more. Just one email totaled four pages! In reviewing a lot of the communication, I can see where some of this frustration was reflected back to you on the part of our team. I apologize sincerely as I want my team to act like the professionals they are. The lesson learned in this situation is that we have to follow the lease agreement exactly to the letter. The file should have been submitted to our attorney for collection the moment you defaulted on your lease and this is where the file is going now. We do want to be respectful of negative Google reviews and we do try to maintain a neutral tone. Fortunately, Google does provide an opportunity for a business to provide a different side of the narrative. We do take advantage of this feature to lay out the facts of the situation which the reviewer almost always conveniently leaves out. As Google reviews help people determine with whom they want to do business, balanced information best serves the consumer in their decision making process. When people create fake accounts to review a business, which you have done, or when reviewers don't post their names, which you have done on previous reviews, yes we do tend to call them out by name. Sincerely, Jared Schauers - Owner

Jim Macdonald5Matt and his team are absolutely phenomenal! They are fair in every respect, both to the tenants and owners. I have been extremely impressed by their rapid response and thoroughness in attending to needs. I would highly recommend Matt and his team to anyone on either side of the rent market.

Robert LeBlanc5We have bought and sold multiple properties with Justin and he has already delt honestly with us and treated us with respect. He could have have said things that we would we have liked to hear, but he always gave us the truth and we haven't been disappointed.
