  My husband & I worked with Natalie Mareno to help our son purchase a home in the Tampa area. We live in middle Georgia so our knowledge of Florida real estate transactions was quite limited. Natalie was patient, understanding, and tried to keep us informed through out the process. It was a pleasure to work with her. Thanks also to Tad who welcomed us, answered questions, and got the process started.

  I am writing to share my experience with Jose R Gutierrez. Ideally, since this business is well rated, I would hope that their other agents do not treat borrowers like this. Jose told me initially that I could contact him at any time—I distinctly remember this because we discussed whether or not I was able to take calls while at my workplace, since I'm a tutor. I informed him that it was online tutoring and that I would be able to talk to him or call him while on the clock. It was understood already at this time that I worked nights, meaning that in agreeing to call while I was on the clock, Jose was agreeing to being available at later hours of the day. Beyond this, I was also not informed of any specific work hours that he conformed to. I would like to note that if I had been informed that he didn't take calls after 8pm, instead of being falsely informed I could call him while in-office, I would have been fine trying to keep within his work schedule, since I am aware that my own schedule is outside of the norm. I called specifically because we had had prior conversation about my schedule and being able to get in touch with him, and because he had not told me any specific time at which he stopped taking calls. However, after trying to contact him about my loan at the beginning of my shift, honestly a bit freaked out because of how different it was from the loan I believed myself to be agreeing with, he quickly moved to insulting my intelligence as well as the intelligence of my real estate agent. Jose was already well aware that I thought we were organizing an HFA loan, as I had contacted him about this prior, and was not given any counsel or correction in order to adjust my expectations to those for a conventional loan. I have included screenshots of our conversation as well as a screenshot of the email in which I make it clear I believed this to be an HFA loan, as well as his reply that includes no correction or discussion of going forward with a conventional loan instead. Note that my initial questions were about the filing of the loan, as well as specific itemized fees. I was still brushed off and told I obviously had not read the paperwork. More importantly, though, I'm shocked that he would say my agent doesn't know what she's talking about when he seems to have made zero efforts to clearly communicate with either me or her. I would not recommend using Home Access Financial if this is the behavior of their agents. If this turns out to just be one bad egg out of a long list of talented and polite agents, then I'm sorry that HAF has had their reputation damaged by this one agent. However, as Jose almost IMMEDIATELY suggested when I stated my frustration at his lack of correct information (or any information at all), I'm afraid I'll likely be looking for a different lender.

  Working with Tad & Robert twice was a true pleasure! As a first time homebuyer, I was introduced to Home Access Financial through my realtor, Heather Dunnuck. They walked me through everything step by step and made a huge process seem manageable. 18 months later, Tad reached out to see if I was interested in running numbers for refinancing. The thought of doing it seemed incredibly daunting but the rates were right and I knew I was working with some stand-up professionals! Needless to say, HAF was great and my refinancing went as smooth as possible. 10/10 would recommend!

  This team is the best. Consistently keeping me updated throughout the process. Great demeanor and understanding of our needs. Its almost like they have a proficient team member for each phase of the process until closing, whatever they are doing it works. Keep up the great work .
