  I love visiting this town. Beautiful drive plus the town is very walkable with lots of things to see read eat drink and do!

  Cute place to stop. Free parking along street or there is a $2 paid lot at the top of the hill at the entrance to town.

  While driving back from Grand Canyon/Flagstaff to LA (or vice-versa) on I40, I think its definitely worth taking to old Route66 along this specific stretch from Kingman to Needles. The Cool Springs Gas Station and this town Oatman definitely give a nice retro-perspective into the 1920s. Oatman, a key gold mining town in the early 1900s is quite well preserved. Its pretty fun driving though a village full of donkeys all around on the street whose ancestors were probably key in helping miners lug gold! These stops were definitely the highlight of our day amidst a boring drive on I40.

  Totally amazing town... perfectly preserved from like 200 years ago. The 66 highway leading to Oatman town is absolutely picturesque and gorgeous but alot of curves - be careful! There are alot of small historical gift shops with interesting items and fair pricing. Small donkeys add to the overall amazing experience and environment.

  What a perfectly preserved historic town! Not only that but you get real life burros that interact with you. The Jesus burros. Magical 🙂

  Gold Road Mine / Aura Minerals owes us thousands of $ and is totally non-repsonsive. They moved into Oatman, purchased products to run the mine, then stopped investing without paying their vendors. Shame on them!! The city of Oatman should gold them accountable to pay their vendors.

  A little out of the way, but a great place to visit to get a feel for the local history - and a scenic drive - butvdont get in a hurry, these are tricky roads!

  Loved it! Made us feel like we stepped back in time. We will go back someday and hang out with the burros.
