  I understand most people have had a good experience with this company and John Peterson is a good man but I would not recommend them to anyone based on my experience with them. My loan closing was pushed back 6 months and I was constantly misinformed of what was going on with the home I just built. I eventually had to come out of pocket $12,000 after being told for over a year that I would not have to. My loan was poorly manged and I was never told of any issues. It should also be noted that gmfs will have specialized loan servicing manage your escrow. This is by far the worse company with the worse customer service i have ever dealt with. I urge any one thinking about using this company to research specialized loan servicing before you make that decision.

  Carla Vento was our loan officer and she made the entire process super easy. We had not purchased a house in a long time and the process this time was fast and easy. Carla kept us in the loop on everything was going on. I highly recommend using Carla for your loan needs.

  Could not recommend this mortgage company more! We originally financed with them in 2014 and just completed a quick and painless refinance. Carla Vento in the Macon office is top notch and SO EASY to communicate with. She is very responsive and gives great financial advice. 5 stars!!

  Second time I've taken a mortgage with GMFS and it was awesome, again. Everyone is so nice and helpful and things went very, very smoothly. Particularly thankful that Susan at the Macon, Georgia office was my loan officer. I would highly recommend GMFS to anyone applying for a mortgage or a refi.

  I contacted GMFS inquiring about a refinance, and within 24 hours they had run the numbers and gotten back to me. A few e-signatures later and the process was done. Super fast, amazingly easy, completely stress free experience from my perspective. And they were quick to answer any and all questions I had!

  Since retiring I wondered if I would be able to refinance and take advantage of historically low rates. GMFS walked me through the process and we closed, reducing our rate by 25%. Communication was good throughout the process. Everything, except signing papers at the attorney’s office was done online. I can recommend GMFS to anyone.
