Valerie Watts4My service for opening an account was pretty good. Communication with the branch since the merger has been spotty. Call's that should have been returned were not. Reaching a Seattle call center instead of your local branch is disappointing. The tellers I deal with are always courteous and prompt. I am happy that the branches are open being that other banks I have dealt with still have not opened their lobbies. Service is pretty quick compared to other banks I have dealt with. Overall I don't have any major complaints, and I would still recommend this credit union.
Response from the ownerThank you, Valerie for your review about your experience! Your feedback is appreciated and we hope you have a nice day!

Elizabeth Marin1Stay away from them for loans!! Their systems suck. Their customer service sucks. We have been having nothing but trouble with them from the start. Going on THREE months of trouble trying to say we have not provided adequate documentation for proof. Wish we never signed just for a lower rate. Now they are trying to charge us for their insurance (more than double of ours) when we had insurance TWO months BEFORE signing a loan. If they charge us… all the “savings” of a lower rate means nothing because we will still be paying like we signed a higher rate loan. THEY HUNG UP ON ME when I asked if they ever check their email from their certified letters 🤬
Response from the ownerHi, Elizabeth. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We have shared your feedback with our insurance manager and they would like the opportunity to discuss this with you further. Please send an e-mail to [email protected] with your contact information and we'll follow up. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Ami Sidpara1GESA has grown big but shrunk miserable when it comes to Customer Service. I am seriously questioning whether the senior management is even aware of this. YOU CAN NOT REACH LIVE PERSON regardless how long you are on HOLD!!After being on HOLD, music stops, phone becomes silent. I tried three times today and finally visited the branch on 27th and Union and got few issues resolved. The main issue is open and I branch lead person could not resolve! I requested to contact higher level and resolve the issue not for me but also for others. I will be waiting for the promised feedback! I have been GESA customer for many years and state WITHOUT ANY HESITANCY that customer service is a TERRIBLE FAILURE for a long time and management is SILENT! Note: The lady at the counter Ms. Krystal was extremely friendly and responsive and she did her best and finally got a lead person involved who promised me to let me know the resolution of the issue.

Marlene Prather5The young man that assisted me was polite and professional. We did multiple transactions and he did not act like he was in a hurry.

Noel Doe5Been with Gesa for years now, they have always been incredibly helpful with all of my financial inquiries and troubles, and their modern banking system allows me to be very effectively financially supported in spite of living and working out of state. The only trouble I've run into is their hours of operation, but can't put it past them for wanting to do a good job and get to spend time with family at the end of the day. I'll keep banking with Gesa for a while yet looks like, as long as they keep doing me good.

kim palmer5During these very trying financial times for businesses, Gesa really came through for mine . My business banking professional stepped up when the Payroll Protection Plan was implemented by the government . This was new and uncharted territory for all I feel. He and his staff handled it and stayed in contact with me through it all . The rules changed as it went along , but they got it done before the deadline . I know they worked so many extra hours and did their best for all they could . Won’t name them , as it may not be the right thing to do ..Thank you for what you do .

sam melton1I have been trying to talk to someone in the SBA department for almost three and a half weeks, they keep telling me I'm in the Q, must be a long Q , I really don't think they care much about there members. Again I tried to talk to someone about getting a business credit card was on hold for 20 minutes, And they finally answered and said they would have someone get back to me in 24 to 48 hours. What has happened to Gesa. Clearly they do not care for there members anymore

Devon Chavez5I have had an auto loan with Gesa for about a year now, and decided to open up a Savings account. David Barr helped me out and has been phenomenal! Very straight forward about what I needed to do, and helped me through the process smoothly. He is also a very good conversationalist.

Leslie Benore2Gesa used to be great. Not anymore. I had set up my account to be able to transfer money from Gesa to another account. I had to wait several days while Gesa transferred small amounts of money to the other account to make sure it was a valid account. I just tried to do that now and the new "upgraded" system has lost all the previous information forcing me to have to do this process again. Since I no longer live there, it's time to find another bank. Why can't you leave well enough alone?
