Valerie WorkWithWords1Terrible organization. We'll be closing our account tomorrow - after around 40 years with them. Since Inspirus took over they've gone steadily downhill, and we've just had two experiences that finished them for us. First, my husband got caught up in an online scam around Christmas, when he purchased a computer online for a too-good-to-be-true price. Within less than an hour of paying for it with his Gesa check card he realized it was a scam and called Gesa to stop payment. (He had already informed the "seller" that he wished to cancel the purchase, and of course no computer has ever been delivered.) That phone call was bounced from one person to the next and got nowhere. So we went in - now a couple hours after he'd made the purchase - and asked in person for them to stop the payment. The person at the desk was very unhelpful, basically told us he was pretty stupid for making the purchase, and said it wasn't possible to cancel it without the scammer's approval. We told him this made no sense - one can cancel a check; why not a check card payment??? Well, eventually they put a hold on the payment, and we've just received a letter from they stating that they have determined that "no error occurred" (so where is our damn computer? And why can we not get a response from the "seller"?) and that we had failed to provide required documentation (not true). It's only $90, but that's more than we really want to donate to a scam - and it's not the first time Gesa has paid scammers out of our account. Several times in the past they've texted a query as to whether a payment was authorized, and we've texted back "NO" and the payment has gone through anyway. They've also put unauthorized payments through on outdated cards. The sum has always been relatively small, which is why we've always just let it go, but NO MORE. More recently, we've suddenly been unable to access our account online. After much phoning and bouncing from place to place and being told it was the fault of the internet service provider, they finally admitted that the problem was being caused by their contractor who interfaces with ISPs. They can't tell us what the problem is or when it will be solved or, in fact, anything. Their best suggestions, to date, have been, "Just access your account on your phone" (doesn't work when you're trying to plan and manage your monthly budget!) and "Connect through another ISP, like a neighbor or a Starbucks" (because I really want to go to Starbucks with all my bills and sit on an unsecure wifi to deal with my monthly budgeting). Enough already! These clowns don't care about customer service - their rating on Yelp is less than 2 stars, and conversations with friends indicate that our dissatisfaction isn't unusual. We're done!
Response from the ownerHi Valerie, we are sorry to hear about your experience. We would like the opportunity to discuss the situation further. Please send us an e-mail to [email protected] with your contact information and we'll follow up. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Ron Mckenzie1Branch manager made a poor judgment call. My wife's work cut her a payroll check because they missed a deadline due to veterans day for direct deposit. She has worked at the same place for 2 years. You can clearly see direct deposits for a lengthy time. They are holding over 700 dollars for 3 buisness days. In most cases I would agree for thier policy and I understand why. I plead my case of my mortage being short because of this and what my wife's work did. Also ofbthe fact my wife could have cashed the check instead, than deposited it as a work around. So you would think they could just lift the hold. It all adds up and sounds logical right? The branch manager told me (we do not feel comfortable lifting the hold and your going to have to wait) I know for a fact they have the power to do so but they didn't. I will not ever be utilizing this branch again. I will also let my friends and family know of this incident. I had more than enough to cover it in savings, sub savings, and credit. Not to mention a 100% payment for my auto loans for several years. Thanks for looking out Gesa...... guess I'll use 2 of my monthly transfers up because (you feel uncomfortable) 😆 no wonder your ratings are so low. While I'm ranting here, how about you replace that atm outside that ate my check last month, froze up, and wasted my time. If it wasn't for your low car rates ide be back to hapo by now. Oh and you fued with the credit bureaus where it wasn't reporting, caused us to loose a house deal. That was over a month! Thanks again for all your wonderful proffesionalism!
Response from the ownerHello Ron. We are sorry that your experience hasn't met your expectations. We would like the opportunity to discuss this with you further. Please e-mail your contact information to [email protected] and we'll follow up. Thank you.

Marteal Finney5I want to give a Standing Ovation and thank you to Jodie Haag at the Southridge GESA location. She was getting ready to go on her lunch break but when she saw me and my staff assistant she came to us and ask us could she help us. Jodie did not go on her lunch break and gave us outstanding Customer Service. Who wouldn't want to come to a bank Institution like this one??? These are the type of Employees that all Businesses should hire Thank you Jodie - for always making me feel like I am important when I come into your GESA Location on Union and 27th Kennewick Branch. You are the BEST!!! Marteal Finney

Bruce Colwell1I am disgusted that Inspirus has merged with this fourth rate institution. I have been on hold for over 4 minutes to ask how to make my first contact with Geezer CU. The phone number on the screen is not functional according to Verizon. I have already transferred one savings account of over $200K to another CU. As soon as I can get through on the Kennewick phone number (been on hold almost 7 minutes now) I will transfer another saving account of nearly $100 K. What a joke. Do not treat with these clowns. Lousy service. Not interested in having human contact with their clients. Waiting nearly 9 minutes now.
Response from the ownerHi Bruce - We apologize for the current wait times that we are experiencing and the inconvenience that they are causing. We would love the opportunity to discuss the situation further and assist you in anyway we can. If you’d like to be contacted, please send us a message at [email protected] with your contact information and we'll follow up. Thank you for your patience and your membership.

Scooter Tank5I have banked with GESA for 40 years this year (2020). They have always been friendly and helpful. This branch is relatively new but reflects the same service that I have come to expect from GESA.
Response from the ownerThank you, Scooter! We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review! Have a great day!

Kathy Smith1Seriously this bank has been the worst. We have had a car loan through them for barely 5 months and we always pay ahead and have detailed receipts etc. In the 5 month period they have "misplaced" or miscounted our payments TWICE. They blame it on the customer. So frustrating. I have lost trust with them. Seriously it's so nerve wrecking. I don't know what to do next.

mike q1I would give them a negative review if I could. Jesse is a idiot. We tried to buy a truck. Took him 2 days to tell us that the loan would not go through simply because the truck had to many miles on it. I think that should have been told to us in the first place. Wasted 2 days of my time and money. Will NEVER use this place or ever recommend them to anyone!

Yo Sam5I've banked at Gesa going on something over 30 years and at this location since it opened. It's convenient, staff is always helpful, courteous, and friendly with any banking request I have. I highly recommend this place.
