      Had a car loan that got paid off 22 months ago, was never released because the departments in this company can not talk, and cost me $1200 this passed weekend with me not being able to sell my car. They had no one able to fix this on Sat. And the person who was to call me Monday never called. I had to call today to get the car loan released not even a sorry about the issues, not recommend to use this company.

      I have 2 car loans thru the credit union. I got laid off because of the Corona virus so I applied to miss 3 months of payments till my unemployment started. Ive never been in this situation before and have always made my payments in full and on time. They approved me to miss 3 months and then the next thing I'm getting collection letters in the mail for my vehicles and on top of that they messed my credit up and trying to make me pay late fees. Talk about hitting you when your already down. Very unprofessional in my book smh

      Great full services bank, with the best rates, lowest fees, and customer-centered approach. Local branches with a great free ATM network makes access easy. A breath of fresh air if you are coming from a regular bank.

      GECU has complicated, time consuming Practices and procedures. But they are old time "careful" with our money. Changing banks is not anymore an option I would want to consider...so I'm stuck in this marriage.

      I've been with GE Credit union since I was a teenager, I am currently 59 and bank several other credit unions. Over the year and currently GE has given me the most terrible experience and ser. Currently today I was locked out of there mobile while I was trying to track down information about two separate payments i made yesterday. I'm so frustrated with them and the horrible customer service ive received to resolve these issues.

      UPDATE: The last time that I contacted the credit union about my insurance, I was lucky enough to get someone that listened to my concern about this issue and looked at my account. It turns out that something was set up incorrectly in my account and they fixed it and now no more notices!! Yea!!! Do NOT get an auto loan through GE Credit Union. They will treat you like a criminal every six months when your auto insurance needs renewed. They send you threatening letters stating you have to jump through all these hoops to show them that you are not a criminal and if you don't they will gouge you with adding insurance at a HUGE cost to your loan. I have NEVER been treated like this from a credit union or bank for that matter. I pay my loan payments on time and I re-up my insurance when it expires every six months. I don't need more hoops to jump through in my life. I'm pretty busy as it is. I don't need my credit union to treat me like an irresponsible person. If they think so little of me, why did they loan me money????!!!!!!!!!!!

      I love this bank it is great the people are wonderful they're very helpful I was recently there and was helped by Dasha M. She was wonderful the only thing that made it lose like a half a star if possible was the fact that they had a branch open at Mercy West hospital and when Kevin hit they closed it down now I have to drive all the way down to evendale which is the closest one for me to deposit money into my account if I have cash I wish that they had an ATM around montford heights to where I could go and deposit money but other than that it is a great Bank/ Credit Union.

      With AmEx and many other credit cards, customer service is immediate and the first person you speak with has access to see your account and to provide assistance. NOT THIS VISA CARD. Otherwise, my experience with general banking is great. In regards to the visa card, customer service is NOT available 24/7 as indicated. I've had constant issues getting ahold of card member services, both in US and when traveling abroad, when its outside of "normal business hours". I even had the total run around and endless apologies from a team outside the US who claims they can only help if reporting a card lost or stolen. When they connect you back to credit services, the same number on the card, the automated message claims its outside of normal business hours and to try back when it is normal business hours, then disconnects. No other help is available, which is absolutely disgraceful. In addition, there was a refund that I needed the visa card services help with a while back. While it was finally resolved, the time and energy it took to track down a HUMAN who could actually look at my account was so draining, I decided to only use the card for a short period longer. Lack of customer service for a credit card isn't worth it. I can get better customer service, points and perks opening a visa elsewhere.
