R Dischar5I had a wonderful experience with this location and will definitely consider them in the future for any financial needs I have. Their customer service was top notch, and I truly felt respected and cared for by every employee that I interacted with. They were professional and knowledgeable, and provided the best service I have gotten in a very long time. I feel that this experience has set them apart from other financial institutions, so much so that I was compelled to leave a review.

Betty Lane2We have been members of GECU for many years. In the beginning it was a great experience but over the past 3 - 4 years things have declined. We have a 2nd mortgage with them and last year, my checks to pay monthly were lost twice, yet they cashed them, just didn't post our payment. When they did get posted it was taking over 2 weeks. The calls to get these issues resolved were lengthy and unnecessary. Reps wanted to blame the US mail but none of my other bill payments were taking this long, not even those that mail to Calif. I was told if I wanted to make sure my payments were processed quickly and accurately, I should call in my payments, which I have been doing, even though it seems to take a lot of time with hold, and all the security questions they run you though...I'm making a payment, I don't think any crooks are doing that, they are only stealing. So today, at 11:22 am, I call to make my payment, go through the options, hold, and then the phone just rang.....I stopped counting after ring number 60. I know GE wants you to do everything electronically or come into their banks, but some of us have jobs and health issues that limit us. I find the "new" electronic tellers in the Eastgate facility very cumbersome and time consuming, in comparison to other banks ATM's. As for electronically, my main bank charges me to transfer $$ to GE for my mortgage payment and it takes several days. I made a deposit a few weeks ago, at their auto teller, and they rejected a $5 rebate check because it didn't have an "issue date" on it. It did have an expiration date that had not lapsed, but they still refused to accept it. Fifth Third let me deposit it with no issues at all. I just feel like GECU is making it as difficult as they can to work with them. Wonder when they will decide to answer their phones so I can get my loan payment in????

Cary Estes2I gave a 2 because the tellers are nice. I deposit the same 2 checks routinely. Both from same bank both printed by the same printer. The blue check seems to be difficult for their machine to read. It is not handwritten. It is for $200. For weeks maybe months the ATM has asked me to confirm the dollar amount. Today it refused to deposit this particular check. I go inside. I'm directed to the ITM (the rep did deposit the check). My problem...this has been an issue for weeks. 2 in person employees not interested in discovering the root cause. ITM rep also not interested in even contemplating why GE machine cannot read a printed check written on a major bank account. I try online chat. Again "I don't know". I have reached out now to 4 different people and the answer "I don't know".

andrew mark1Half a dozen times I sent them proof of coverage for the car loan I had. They never entered into their system. I did it via website. Email. A supervisors email and my agent talked to them, confirmed coverage and sent in to them. They purchased 8k insurance coverage policy added it to my loan to cover 3 months of coverage. I’ve had 14 cars in last 7 years. Never had issue till I used GE.

Joseph Wahle1I have been a member for over 30 years but the last 3 have been very disappointing. Their support center is not helpful and I had to continually reset my password making it difficult to access my account. While the Eastgate branch staff was pleasant, they did not seem particularly interested when I closed all my accounts.

Nelson Strinko1My experience isn’t about this particular branch but GECU as a whole. I am on a joint savings account with my mother & GE decides to empty out my savings account for their loans as my mother is experiencing a financial hardship. Once I pay off my debts with GE I will not continue doing business with them. I call for assistance and I’m told they can’t discuss the matter with me yet they can empty out of savings account? That makes sense.

whatt upp5General Electric Credit Union has treated well since day one! Checking and Savings account. Got in to a situation where I needed money. In 7 minutes, maybe less they approved me for a loan over the phone! Went to the bank the next day , met with one of there EXCELLENT managers and singned that low interest rate loan and got a cashier's check almost immediately. Thank you G.E.C.U.
