  We have been a customer of First Northern Credit Union for over 10 years and we have been extremely pleased with their attention to detail and excellent customer service. An example of this fine service happened again just last week when I stopped in to inquired about a vehicle refinance with Jonathon Lewis, Senior Financial Service Advisor. He took the time to answer all my questions, provided some additional information, and had my application form ready for submission by the end of our coversation. It was a very positive experience as were all my previous visits which is why I am glad to be a member of such a great financial institution.

  Jonathan Lewis did an amazing job helping us throughout the entire process of refinancing a care loan. He seemed to genuinely care about helping people the best he could. I would definitely go through First Northern for my next car loan!

  Rockford, IL First Northern Credit Union.. Manager Diane is a horrible, rude , unprofessional person. She will be the reason that I am leaving the bank after 5 years. I have never had such poor customer service, ever! I deposited a local personal check a whole 600.00 dollars and they decided to hold the check for 10 business days! I had automatic payments try to clear, but because the funds were "not available" they returned the payments and charged me return fees. Are you kidding me? In 5 years i never once had any return items fees. When I tried to get them to reverse the fees because I had no idea of the hold. Diane just talked over me, and then hung up and said ill have my manager call you. All I can say is take membership at this bank with CAUTION. With all the other banks out there, I recommend looking for one that appreciates their customers, Rockford First Northern does not

  I used First Northern Credit Union recently to purchase a home. I worked with Jessica Rielly, she was absolutely wonderful and answered all my questions ( I had allot ) ! I am so pleased with my experience and I am now a proud owner of my new beautiful home.

  Kassie Jones was very nice to work with for acquiring a loan. Great customer service. I worked with Sarah Herschlag in the past and she was also excellent. Great bank with low rates for loans.

  Terrible credit union. And Tomas Lopez-Betanzos specifically has no business being in any position related to customer service. I have a great credit score and DTI ratio and was looking for a small loan. A very simple easy process that this place and Tomas couldn't handle. Needing more information from me every day unable to give me a simple yes or no pre-approval. After 3 days I just called another lender and of course had a pre-approval in a matter of a couple hours. Not hard at all. Maybe First Northern Credit Union just doesn't know how to process loans.

  We have been banking at First Northern Credit of Rockford for almost 20 years. We find a complete package with the Rockford facility. The tellers we deal with Laura, Lettie and Mary (now retired) have been so helpful with all our needs be it checking account questions, ordering checks, helping us understand a new procedure etc. Laura, Lettie and Mary provided this help in such a kind professional manner making our experience with the Rockford Team feel like home. Go Rockford Team!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!!!
