Charles Pence1Called this bank and they gave me information that I found out later wasn’t correct. Poor customer service the person that answered the phone had no customer service skills. Not wasting anymore time with them taking my business to USAA

Robin Sanders1To bad that I couldn't leave it as a 0 star. I have had several accounts with this bank for many years. I realize that after they switch to first harvest,that I can no longer get on to my mobile app. I had no problems login in before they switched to a new name now all of a sudden when I login it comes up with an error message not allowing me to go further then the face page. If this isn't corrected. I have no other choice then to close all of my accounts and do business elsewhere.

Hope Fitzgerald1My husband was deceased. On a day off, I presented at the bank with appropriate documentation to close out his accounts. There was NO ONE else in the bank. I was advised that I could not be helped because I didn't have an appointment. Never have I even been aware that any other bank even takes appointments, let alone REQUIRES them. She said she was sorry, but this service takes too long and she could not help me. I'm glad I already made the decision to consolidate my accounts elsewhere, but if I had been thinking about converting the accounts to my own, this would have solidified the decision not to do business at SJFCU anymore.

We did however move to an appointment scheduling system during the height of COVID for the protection of our members and staff. We do try and make appointments for individuals that have more complex services and this would not fall into that category. Robert Kandetzke1Ease of doing business with this bank is the worst I've ever experienced! I wanted to set up automatic transfers into my savings with them. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to set it up on line, I went to their Nixon Drive, Mt. Laurel branch as listed on their website. Evidently this branch has closed as I drove around Nixon Drive and East Gate Shopping for 15 minutes and could not locate their branch. Called their 800 number and left several messages and never received a return call. At this point all I want to do is close out my savings account so I will not have to deal with the frustration.

Steve Carpineta1I have been waiting almost 6 weeks for replacement debit card. Had to cancel first one after 4 weeks. Sent that replacement to Deptford branch. 15 days and counting. Poor and incompetent service. Should have sent FedEx to me. Held a business deposit 3 weeks without notifying me. Not happy. Luckily I still have second bank

Red5I wanted to take a few moments here because I think it’s important to highlight excellence. (Especially in a time when unfortunately excellence seems to be the exception rather than the rule.) My faith in people and therefore the corporate world in general, has been restored after dealing with Deena at South Jersey Credit Union. Without going into detail, let me just say that there was a mixup conserving my loan application that could have easily been ignored; especially since I am not a particularly important nor well to do person. I’m just the opposite in fact. But because Deena was a rare executive who actually took the time to delve into the situation, find the misunderstanding and resolve the problem, I went forward with my loan. I left another completely adequate credit union to come here and I would highly recommend others do the same. Yes, they are busy and yes this results in longer wait times on hold etc than I have experienced other places, but I am guessing that’s because of the exceptional individual service they provide because they value each and every customer. Also, I’d like to mention Ranee who filed my application. She was extremely accurate and very patient with my many phone calls. And because she was willing to submit a unique type of loan on my behalf, this ultimately resulted in my positive experience with South Jersey Credit Union. I’d wanted to publicly thank them both because sometimes the little day to day things people do in the business world, have a big impact on people’s lives. This loan will enable me to breathe for the first time in a very long time.
