  After countless nights surfing the internet looking for insight on how to move forward regarding our home situation. I came across Find My Way Home. So much valuable information! I wrote an email thinking I would hear nothing back, and was amazed when Scott immediately responded to my email!!! He gave great advice and I can now breathe again! He is knowledgeable and professional. Scott also was able to provide me with a local lender who he feels can help me when the time comes to purchase a new home.   After stumbling across an article about new guidelines for student loan debt, I emailed Scott with an onion of thorny questions relating to my personal scenario. Scott answered my email the same day, and even provided his personal phone number to call him directly. He spoke to me for almost an hour, and helped me unpack my scenario and what I could and needed to do in order to increase my chances of success as approval for a mortgage. After this, Scott also put me in contact with a more local mortgage loan officer with whom he had a professional relationship, and that he knew would be best able to help me navigate the process. I haven’t been approved quite yet, but I’m confident it’s around the corner. (I’ll try and update this as it happens). Thank you Scott for your vital information, as well as helping me contact the right people. You have helped me and my family take the steps in order to own our home.   I came across Scott's website while trying to figure out my waiting period after a bankruptcy and deed in lieu of foreclosure. I sent an email- honestly not expecting too much. Scott replied very quickly then proceeded to answer quite a few questions over the next several days for me. All with clear answers. I had been working with a lender at the time- but hit a snag as we're self employed in addition to my credit past. He connected us with a fellow in my area that was able to help us navigate the whole loan process. I first emailed scott on 3/8/21. We were able to close on 4/12/21. I'm quite certain we wouldn't have been able to buy this house without coming across Scott. Thank you so much Scott!   After being divorced, being placed into foreclosure and having to file for chapter 7 bankruptcy protection, you're left wondering where you go from there. How do you pick up the pieces? How long do you have to wait to be eligible for credit cards and a mortgage again? It was so difficult performing a google search because there were so many moving parts to my inquiry. I simply needed to know when I could get a mortgage again after filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy which included the discharge of the mortgage. While still remaining in the home after discharge, I would receive mixed answers from people such as having to wait 7 to 10 years after bankruptcy and even 7 to 10 years after the bank takes the house back. Finding accurate information was extremely unsettling. It was by sheer accident that I came across FindMywayHome.com. The fact that there were discussions with hundreds of people with nearly my identical situation told me I finally found the right place. The fact that people were being told they didn't qualify because of the inexperience of big bank lenders gave me reassurance that I found the right people to help me. I reached out to Scott back in 2018 or early 2019 I believe and laid out my situation. He put me in touch with Jim Duffy at Atlantic Coast Mortgage. He assured me that Jim had dealt with my situation a multitude of times. Once I was assured that I could be eligible for a mortgage again 4 years from the date of chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge, I told him I needed to save more money for a down payment, closing and savings. I told him I would be in touch with him when I was ready the following year. I went through the builder's lender first because I would qualify for incentives even if I was denied. I did get denied because they were adamant that I had to wait until 4 years from the transfer of home back to lender, not 4 years from bankruptcy discharge. I called Jim up and explained what happened. He immediately got right to work for me and got me conditionally approved in about a month or less. As I right this, I am a homeowner again, thanks to Scott and Jim. I closed 1 week ago. Jim made the process for me really easy. This is important to me because I was able to obtain this mortgage on my own. I have been saving for the past 5 years from the moment I was discharged and made it a goal that I would financially turn myself around with owning a home again in my crosshairs. I did it. They helped me get here with their experience. If I have a message for anyone, it's not to give up. This website is gold for everyone that needs a second chance.

  I found an interesting article and it was written by Scott. I was most impressed that his sole motivation is to help people with the experience he has accumulated over many years. I had an unusual situation involving appraisals and Lenders and I didn't know who to speak with. I decided to dump all of my related information on Scott in hopes he would reply. He patiently went through all of the detail and answered my questions. It was such a pleasure to come across someone who is willing and wanting to help people - people like me, who was a total stranger.

  Going through bankruptcy alone is stressful. Facing a potential Foreclosure 7 years later on the same property that was discharged? Incredibly stressful. I had talked to several “experts” and no one seemed to care enough to spend some time helping to navigate this situation. Then today I guess I searched for the correct topic in google, and popped up Scott’s posts about some of his customers. I decided to email him right away, this guy was speaking my language and seemed knowledgeable about situations similar to mine. Scott called me right away and we strategized on what may be the best outcome for me and my family and how to get there. Thanks Scott!
