  I want to say thank you to the bank tellers Sheryll and Donna for all there help calling other branch's to find me one not only open on a sunday but have a working coin machine as there's was out of service im so happy to have joined Eastern bank after over 30 Years at East Boston Savings Bank/Rockland Trust i can't thank you enough

  Your money is safe at Eastern Bank. Or any bank, really. So, what makes one bank better than another? Convenience. The more branches the better. The more access to free ATMs the better. On the North Shore of Massachusetts, Eastern Bank stands out. I like them enough that I bought stock in the company.

  Reason why I stopped using this bank number 667! Had to put my daughters car money in my all but closed account. Went to get it today ALL branches are now closed on Sundays! Tried my atm and they froze my card. Calle the 800 number it’s after hours guy can’t help me. Gave me the fraud number nope no fraud even though the after hours guy said there was. Now I call again and I’m told I need to call a branch for help! They’re ALL CLOSED!!! My daughter looses out on buying the car she wanted!!! Once again screwed by Eastern and why I never unless absolutely needed use this Bank!

  Been a account holder since I was a teenager. Today might have just ended that long relationship. I went in to open a new account, they have this cooky system at the Saugus branch, sign in on a clip board by the tellers, then go sit and wait on the opposite end of the bank from customer service and behind a wall and other decor. I do this and begin my wait in the designated waiting area at approx 2pm. At 2:45pm I walk back over and check the list and says I am still next in line. I returned to the waiting area until 3:20pm I walk over again, and now my name is crossed off and 2 other names are below mine already crossed off and now after almost a hour and half of waiting I am told by Tina (Customer service rep) I need to sign in and go wait in the correct area. I told her I did and have been waiting since 2pm, she turned and walked away from me without offering response and continued with what she was doing. I will be closing my nearly life time account Monday and taking my business else where. Completely unprofessional. I am looking forward to speaking to the Branch Manager on Monday.

  I went in this week to open an account with my 16 year old son before he went away to prep school in Maine and had the pleasure of working with Alec. I had been procrastinating on doing this because of Covid, Alec made us feel very comfortable. Alec helped us open the account, provided us with a debit card on the spot and gave us a phone card holder and wallet as gifts which made my sons day. He helped me deposit money in my current account and order checks as well (all at the end of his work day right before the bank closed). He instantly made my son a forever Eastern Bank customer; he had a permanent smile all the way home. Thank you Alec and Eastern Bank for your great service!

  I loved coming to this branch until I went in for a car loan. I don't have the time to tell you all of the mistakes that happened from a couple different customer service reps that had no idea how to do an auto loan application. Not to mention the inquiries on my credit report for the same loan!!! So after about to weeks of this nightmare and stress I finally sat down with Tina and she literally took her whole day fixing this nightmare for me! I can't thank her enough she got me the car I wanted i just wish I got her from the start

  Came in as my acct was hacked for one amount and the AMAZING representative thatti sat with to resolve my issue, LISA M, actually found almost double the money that was actually taken from my acct without authorization! She was so attentive and made sure that ALL my needs were taken care of and that I did not leave until she had every problem put into the claim Dept to help me resolve my issue! She went above and beyond and for that I am thankful!

  This is a very well run branch of Eastern Bank and it is very conveniently located on Rt 1 south in Saugus. I don't understand why people leave negative reviews over one teller interaction. Everyone has a bad day sometimes.

  When their coin machine is down the sign for it being down should be put on all entries ways especially at all locations because some coin machines are further into certian locations. They are all good employees but that would be much more helpful

  my experience today at eastern bank saugus route1. i should give just half star but i cant .... the (color) guy has no idea about the $350-400 debit checkin account !!!! he told me i dont qualify for this account because i dont have payroll just 1099.i went in a different eastern bank in Lynn MA, they told me that nothing has to do with payroll the important thing is direct deposit !!!!! why these kind of people are working with public ?????? i was planning to open account with eastern bank, but not anymore !!!!!!!! awfull !!!! waste of time !!!!!
