Joyelle Lucas1I do not recommend this bank! They talk you into doinf a loan. Say that anyone in michigan can bank with them. Then turn around and make you drive to their location to sign documents. They don't care how far you have to drive and will not work with you at all. Definitely did not disclose this information a head of time. Any other bank is better!!!!

Andrae Ellerbe2I left Michigan First Credit Union after being there since 2008 and opened a new account with DMCU. There is a big difference but I am giving DMCU a chance. They need to work on member services bit more. The rates a great I am taken advantage of a couple of accounts they have to offer. Having worked for MFCU for four years I would say they have upper hand on member services.

Michael Edwards1We are trying to find a way to bank as ethically as possible. We tried DMCU. It felt difficult to open the account, and when we wanted to stop in to do banking we were told we had to make an appointment. I thought this was due to COVID but they said no. We opened the account and came to find the website is the worst banking website we've ever seen, and hard to use. If you do online banking I cannot recommend. Also, online, there was no was to get our account number; we were told we needed to write it down and keep it. And it was very hard to log in, with two different sites for business and personal, and hard to remember where to go for what and how. Basically it seemed like a daunting learning curve to bank with them the way we need to bank.

We started taking appointments during COVID for safety and learned that it worked better for our members because of how busy our downtown location always has been. This allowed us to start scheduling members when it was convenient for them, and they didn’t have to wait so long in the lobby to open an account. Aimee Quinkert5Love banking with DMCU! They were able to get me a credit card that allowed me pay off my debt and build my credit rating at the same time. I am currently working with them to secure an auto loan with a much lower rate than the dealership and the process couldn’t be more seamless. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, too!
