  One of the most beautiful hikes I've ever done! Its slippery and recommend taking hiking boots. I sliped a couple of times but had good grip boots. Its not to long and views are to die for.

  Excellent hike for the day. It is difficult because it is a good incline and muddy especially if it rains. I would not recommend inexperienced hikers to attempt it for sunrise. It is dark and condensation makes the climb slippery.

  Wow, this is my favorite hike on east side no question. I have done it over a dozen times. If you have leg or knee problems I would not recommend this hike. Also if you're afraid of heights I would not recommend this hike. Be prepared with good hiking shoes and lots of water. Another thing you should know, is don't be afraid to get muddy. This only applies in the rainy season or if you've come right after a hard rain. Personally my fiance and I are about to take engagement photos at the top of this hike. I couldn't be more excited. *By the way I brought my dogs on this hike and they were fine. I was just sure to put on leashes the moment we reached the top. I would not recommend this hike for any dogs that are not good off leash or untrained.

  This trail is closed. The mountain and valley are both sacred to Native Hawaiians. Please do not be disrespectful to the host culture and cause damage to natural resources by attempting to hike on closed trails.

  This a short hike straight up the mountain. Be sure to wear good shoes and not go if it's rained in the last day or so as you'll slide right down to the bottom (seriously). It's definitely not for the faint of heart, but the view is absolutely amazing. When you get to the top, head to the right and look back to the tall rock to see the lion.

  An amazing hike! Definitely recommend although do your research and make sure you have the correct shoes and experience. Make sure to go on a day which is not too windy or it gets scarier being up high on high wind days.

  Not for beginners! It is very steep, but worth the climb! Amazing views! Better not wear flip flops or sandals, but bring some hiking gear. Also, don't go if it's raining or has been raining, which is going to be quite difficult since it is the windward side of Oahu.

  Don’t wear sandals! Not sure where the lion is, but it was a SICK hike. 10/10 would do again. Views were most excellent
