  0 stars, the crystal lake branch is wonderful. The corporate office themselves, specifically Desiree, worst experiences. Rude on the phone, does not listen, interrupting and very condescending. I have never had so many awful experiences over the phone with the same person so many times before. Actively searching for a new back because of her.

  The crystal lake team is amazing. I started there as a young adult. They taught me how important it was to establish credit. Now I am married with my first child on the way and I have excellent credit!

  I visit the Crystal Lake branch monthly. They are so friendly and helpful. When i walk in everyone greets me by name. They are always willing to go the extra mile for me!

  Friendly and helpful staff, great rates. Their online platform was recently improved but still could be better. the reason for my review today is because it's as if a toddler came up with rules for the HELOC: I can use the checks and it withdraws directly from my HELOC account but in order to use the debit card, I have to transfer money to a checking account first. It may be a federal rule, but seems silly and was not clearly explained. Once the HELOC was funded, it was difficult to get questions answered about how to use the funds.

  We have had an amazing experience here. They know who we are when we walk in and are able to assist us immediately. The phone support has been great as well. We we're able to refinance our car and save on the payment and reduce the months as well as balance transfer our credit cards to 11% interest instead 18%. Huge savings!
