I think this place does a wonderful thing by helping out those in need of medical equipment. I have never rented or purchased anything from them but I just recently donated several items from MIL whom just passed away. My problem with this place is the rude attitude of the employees! They do not know how to speak to people in a nice tone. They acted as if I was putting them out because I am donating to their place of business to help others that can not afford new items and keep this business open with a job for them! Just beware if you do not follow their signs to the “T” in their small no room for people to park parking lot or make an appointment (even if they are not busy when you get there) they have a fit! They need to learn how to be nice to people.

As usual, the Convalescent Aid Society is able to help out my family with necessary items after my mom's knee replacement surgery. We have utilized their s several times over the years, and they are always a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again!

It is hard to believe a place like this exists in 2021. It is hard enough to see your parents become frail and ill. After an emergency surgery we needed to get my feisty 90 year old mom's home ready for her return. I made a call and the Convalescent Aid Society was ready to help and it was all free! Mom is doing great and everything we borrowed is being put to use. Thank you for this wonderful service!

We made an appointment for service. I needed a walker for a couple of months. We were told told prior to arrival that we needed a utility bill with our address to show proof of residency. We pay our bills online and did not have a paper trail. We did however have our ID and voter cards. Not acceptable for identification.

I went there to donate two walkers and toilet seat riser. This place accepts almost all medical supplies. You have to call them first and ask if the want these items. I found out about this place 30 plus years ago when my Dad needed a wheelchair. They are like a loaner of all medical supplies. When you are through with the item, you return it to them. Some they may charge because of your income level. The person I spoke to is very courteous and helpful. I would recommend this place.

They now require orders be placed on their website. Unfortunately the site is flawed. If you place an order and do not reply within their short time limit they cancel your order. If you try to place the order again the site only lets you cancel the order not order again.

I am so happy a friend told me about this place when I was recovering from ACL surgery. What they provide to the community- at no cost- is truly remarkable. I am so grateful to them. The staff and equipment is the best!

This place is amazing or atleast it was back when my grandmother needed to borrow medical equipment back in 2010. I know I'm a little late posting about them, but I've never encountered another company like them and they truley earned the comendation. They have a wide variety of equipment from canes and walkers to medical beds and people movers. There really is no cost to register to check out their equipment for however long it's needed. They just ask you return it as soon as you no longer need it. That being said, donations are what fund their company. I hope they still operate under the same business practices. I wish I had thought to review them sooner but I had forgot about them until restumbling on them in google maps.

Excellent service and staff. Just know that you need an original driver's license or CA identification card of the person who will use the equipment. You'll also need 2 additional names/identification documents as references to apply for equipment loans. It's free! Return the equipment when you no longer need it. Thanks so much for providing this service.
