  I would advise you all to steer away from choosing this man as a mortgage lender. Afzal strung me along for 18 months during my home buying process. It was so ridiculous that the owner tried to cancel the contract 3x and in order to keep the agreement i had to pay $100 daily until closing day, i paid a total of $1800 due to afzals incompetence. Not only that, he refuses to do business and comes up with a ton of excuses unless you pay him money upfront first. & did numerous unnecessary hard inquires on my credit. Do not choose this man to assist you in your mortgage process, he will only make your life more difficult.

  I have dealt with Afzal now for a year and a half and he has wasted my time, along with my money. I have invested a lot of time into this guy and his tricks - he is a very smooth talker, buyer or potential client BEWARE!!! He will tell you everything you want to hear and he will do the opposite. He is a con artist and clearly he’s been doing this for years. There are a lot of reviews on here that are similar to my situation. I am almost $13,000 in the hole because of this guy. Save your money and time and don’t go here!!

  I dealt with Afzal Ilahi. My process started with meeting him in February 2021 and I am still at point zero in this process. I have basically wasted the best 14 months in mortgage history because of his unprofessionalism and incompetence. Back in Feb 2021 he quoted me a rate between 2.75% and 3.25% and today the mortgage rate is above 5%. He put up 2 hard credit inquiries on my credit report bringing my score down by 30points for no progress at all. He kept dragging his feet by giving fictitious excuses and wasted my precious time while the mortgage rates went up and I lost the golden opportunity to refinance my home. He wants to do under the table deals by taking cash bribes and giving tough time to those who won’t give him the money. He was hard to reach and difficult to get a reliable response throughout this process. I would request you to kindly stay away from him and save yourself the trouble and mental frustration. I regret the day when I decided to meet him and lost out on this great opportunity to refinance at rock bottom rates. Thanks.

  Don’t choose Afzal ellahi he is very unprofessional guy. No license. I recommended my friend and he wasted his 8 month and failed. Never pick up phone. We were calling and he said I’m busy when we went there he was smoking outside. He just take files and sell other peoples. He is 3rd party. Never recommend again this guy.

  Definitely a shady business people they hire just like Afzal Ilahi.. we signed the contract 9 months ago..more than 3 months ago home owner purchased a home insurance. Seller doesn't not know what's going on and the buyer doesn't know what's going on :(( this guy Afzal illahi wouldn't pick up the call and if he does he would say 1 week to closing. Its been 9 months and still no clue if buyers will get their dream house. So unprofessional and misleading innocent people.

  I recently closed a deal on a condo purchase in Brooklyn with the help of Andrey Romanyuk and Ricky Serrano at Contour Mortgage Not only do they really know their stuff, but they're highly responsive, and always made time to address my many questions and concerns. As a first-time buyer, the loan process felt very smoothly. Andrey and Ricky assisted every step of the way, from lender, to securing a rate and preparing for closing. Great guys to work with; I would definitely recommend them!

  Don’t choose this guy Afzal Ilahi as your mortgage helper for many reasons 1) he won’t answer your phone calls and 2) he won’t help you in any way possible. Avoid the headaches at all cost with this guy and find an alternative cause he will only waste your time. This guy is super shady!

  Joe Reizis, and his crew from Contour mortgage are simply the best! My wife and I were totally green when it came to the real estate game, so when the opportunity to buy our 1st home came along we wanted to move forward but we only had a vague idea about the process, fortunately we had Joe, he is so knowledgeable and patient, he understands that we needed to be comfortable with the moves we were about to make, so he didn't rush us into anything, he explained everything and basically held our hand through the whole experience. Everything he said he was going to do, he did. It's been a few months now since we closed on our home and I still run to him with questions. Contour mortgage was recommended to previously by my realtor but because I was skeptical, I didn't want to use them, all I did was waste time. I would use them again and I reccomend them to friends and family. Everyone at Contour Lena, Ricky, Ed and Joe(sorry if I forgot anyone else) are simply the best!

  I usually don’t write reviews but I have to here. Be aware of these scammers. I signed the contract back in August of 2019 & now today it’s 01/29/20 & even appraisal hasn’t done yet. Everytime I call I was told next week will be good news or someone will call you back. No body returns the calls or anything. Shady business practices. Please be aware
