J. Burns1If you want to lose money, then by all means invest with this company. First off let me start out by saying this was not handled at the local branch. This was handled via the customer service line, and by no means reflects on the local branch. Had a small IRA Account that I wanted to close and transfer funds over to my bank, where I currently have another IRA account set up, that actually earns some interest. Was told initially they would have to take 20% taxes out unless my bank called and requested the funds. Proceeded to do just that, only to find out that when my bank received the funds, it was $90 less than what should have been there. Called to find out what the problem was, spoke with a gentleman that stated they did take the taxes out, regardless of what I asked for, and that it was something their system defaulted to. I then requested to send the check back, since it was made out to my bank, and asked if they could void this one and send one made out to me since I didn't want to have pay taxes on it twice. Got transferred to someone else. Second gentleman starts off stating that the discrepancy in funds was due to a $50 transfer fee (first time I'm hearing of this). When I question where the additional $40 disappeared to, I'm told the balance was lower than the statement amount that I'm currently looking at. This account balance has stated the same amount for almost 3 years now, and when I ask where the money disappeared to, I'm told this is the balance that has shown on your statements. I'm sitting here looking at the statements and I can't seem to get an answer as to where the money has disappeared to. The only thing I'm getting is a big run around and my money missing, not to mention, I'm probably going to have to pay taxes on it twice now thanks to this dishonest company. So furious and frustrated right now, I will NEVER, EVER, EVER use this company again for anything. How dishonest can you people be? While the money was not a large amount, it was still something that was worked hard for. In your greed, you have managed to screw a customer over, and I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to bank with you greedy bunch of arses. Makes me sick to my stomach that people are so greedy and deceitful that you have to steal peoples money. NEVER AGAIN.....

Kanya Hubbard1I am writing because I submitted a request to have a brokerage and bank account opened. The brokerage account was opened immediately and the checking was pending for the next 24 hours. I logged into my account to check the status to find out my account was closed. Closed without a call an email or anything. Closed without warning. That is very bad business and should not happen to anyone. If they are going to close an account call the person and advise of the reason the account will close and then close it. DO not do it and the person has to guess the reason why. Very unacceptable and I will be spreading the word.
Response from the ownerHi Kanya. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. If you’d like to give us a call at 800-435-4000, we’d like to understand what happened and try to assist in addressing your concerns.
