  A Great Escape 🤮🤮🤮 First and foremost, attempting to get in contact with the property managers over the phone has been near impossible as they refuse to reach out. It takes multiple emails to get responses that are insulting and riddled with incorrect information. I’ve read many negative reviews that echo our experience regarding the management. It’s disturbing and telling that their printed response to complaints is “taking an opportunity as a company to learn from this.” This company wants to “learn” at the customers expense. We were told having no AC for two nights in the middle of July was a minor inconvenience. We were told having a broken front door lock for two days was a minor inconvenience. Really? We had to be remotely let in the home multiple times. We were provided a master key that did not work. We were repeatedly asked if we were using the key pad correctly. Eventually the key pad was replaced because it was in fact BROKEN and not user error. Each time our vacation was interrupted to make and receive calls and texts to address this issue. It was hot the entire trip on the second floor but we thought it was because of the windows and the direct view of the sun. Eventually with two nights left the air showed 81 and we made another service call. Per the management company the tech came out that same night. This is incorrect. The technician came out the following morning at 8am requiring someone to let him in and then remain in the home for over two hours while he worked on the unit. We were eventually told it could not be fully repaired (replaced) until after the weekend. I’m not sure what records they reference for their reasonings but in our experience they were incorrect and inconsistent in our back and forth email exchange. Our texts match our story which has been consistent through this ordeal. After over two weeks of back and forth through email today we were offered a $400 dollar credit for the “minor inconveniences” we encountered. Please rent with caution. This company “learns” at your expense. When people/companies tell you who they are, believe them.

We tried our best to resolve this issue and unfortunately, we weren't able to agree on the way to do so. Our management team is still in the office and open to discussing how we can come to a resolution together.

  The is the second year we have rented from Carolina Beach Realty and we have found them very helpful in finding perfect rentals for our family. Our rental property was perfect for 3 young adults, 2 senior parents, and a dog. It was beautifully appointed with lovely amenities in every room. Carolina Realty's service and housekeeping was impeccable and they were very easy to work with. This year's house was in a wonderful neighborhood with a porch facing the neighborhood and was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy coffee at sunrise or a cocktail as the light faded. We also loved all the local activities from the Tiki Bard, great restaurants, and historic Fort Fisher. We enjoyed everything!. Thanks for finding the perfect place for us.

  We payed over $1,000 for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom beach rental that did not reflect the well-maintained and rosy description online. It did not seem clean or cozy or safe in any way. The pillows were lumpy, dirty and seemed 20 years old. The king bed was just 2 twin beds pushed together without a mattress topper. The property is 2 buildings down from a rundown motel, and you pass 2 dilapidated buildings on the way to the beach- not family friendly as advertised. The screen door to the porch wouldn't latch, the porch furniture was old and did not seem clean. The check-in application with all of the rental information was very slick, but the actual product was not good. We left after 1 night and have never been more glad to head home after this trip. Maybe other properties are ok, but this will be our last and only experience with Carolina Beach Realty.

  I’ve stayed at Carolina Beach Realty properties a couple of times. They have been friendly, easy to work with and I haven’t had issues during either stay. I thought the properties were clean, well-maintained, and lived up to expectations. I know I’ll be booking the Cozy Kure again - it was perfect. I will use them for future stays in Kure Beach.

  We rented Salty Hammocks A4 6/6/2020. The beds were comfy but the comforters and shams smelt musty; cable tv only had a handful of channels and smart cast was disabled so we needed to purchase a media stick to stream shows on rainy days. The kitchen was not well equipped at all, only one frying pan that was in really poor condition. Many light bulbs were burnt out and we had multiple issues with the key pad. The kitchen and living room furniture needs updated and the parking is extremly tight. The only plus really was the convenient beach access. The worst was that the pool was closed on the 2nd day and we called the realty company three different times and was promised a call back that was never received. High winds made the ocean conditions questionable which is why we always get a rental with a pool. We were very disappointed in the lack of response from Carolina Beach Realty and with the other issues in the condo and this unit is a bit overpriced.

  These people are not professional at all! Renters beware! There is a clause in their contract that basically says up until a few days before your vacation they can cancel it for any reason!!!! That makes you feel great about scheduling a vacation knowing that they can cancel it!!! Well that is exactly what happened to us! They double booked our property so they canceled us (probably because we only rented half of the property and the other people wanted the whole house ) and then when there was nothing left for our dates in the same price range or bedroom size available they offered to upgrade us to a larger house as long as we paid the price difference. They offered us properties with extra bedrooms and bathrooms which we didn't need and expected us to pay between $2,000 and $3000 more than what our original vacation cost was. There's nothing available during our dates which we are locked into because we took vacation at work and we can't change it. I'm highly disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism this company has to offer and we will never ever rent from them again!!!!!!!!!

  Amazing vacation. Carolina Beach Realty made the whole experience from lease signing to arrival and departure very easy. This house had everything we needed, love having the clean towels and sheets at the home, no need to worry about bringing them with us. The electronic locks are a great touch no need to worry about picking up or dropping off keys. The location and home was exactly as described and we loved that dogs were welcome! Highly recommend Carolina Beach Realty!

  Wonderful house. Great experience. Staff polite, responsive, and quite helpful. The place was clean and just as described. We'll definitely be renting from Carolina Beach Realty again. We actually rented two places during the same week. We had a LOT of family in town. In both instances Carolina Beach Realty and their staff were great. We own a beach home and have rented it (as owners) in the past. As such, we have seen both sides of the equation. Having said that, and given our personal experiences, we give Carolina Beach Realty top scores. Bill Powers Charlotte, NC
